As a Tech on RationalWiki I always found it to be a perfectly good website if you ignore the Nazi trolls and Crazy people who come along to troll.

.why do these damn websites keep turning into little Church-of-Scientology style cults? Because they're run by sysops. Every website is run by sysops, that in itself is not the reason. Instead I will suggest the reason is that nobody is being paid, so a particular type of person is being attracted....

Any connection between Smith et al and Vigilant is likely to be informal, on the basis of 'my enemy's enemy is my friend'. It appears to be entirely opportunistic, and Smith et al never often made friends or allies, and certainly never held any alliances that were made for long periods of time.

The way the hidden forum was generally explained in the past, was that it merely prevent Google indexing it. It was never as far as I could tell suppose to be a Very Secrekt Area. :?

You really sometimes appreciate the advantages of being on your own without internet access when it comes to avoiding having to look at this kind of shite.
