Re: Drmies
 ...... We gave Eric Corbett plenty of chances, and though that didn't work out so well I think we can afford to invest some further effort in salvaging DePiep. ...... EEng 03:23, 18 September 2019 (UTC) I don't know that we did, and EEng, I'd really prefer it if you left Eric out of this. Th...

Re: "Fram Gate" in Arbcom
Carcharoth has never been known to lie or through misstatement or silence allow a falsehood to be believed, in my experience (and memory). Lol. To allow a falsehood to be believed is his modus operandi. SilkTork wants to see the desysop over-turned at the same time as the unbanning, and he then wan...

Re: "Fram Gate" in Arbcom
Updated for clarity: Zoloft linked a new article, which was not in the Katherine Maher twitter thread, that quotes from his 2004 email discussion of a Dutch party that would lower the age of consent (enabling pedaphilia). Again, his naive position is common in European anarchist and libertarian and...

Re: "Fram Gate" in Arbcom
You really going to claim that wasn't you Guido? m m They were undoing some vandalism. Many users have reverted to my versions on WP, as those are rather solid. What is your point? The real question (already answered, but you can have your own go at it) is, of course, why you were investigating Alm...

Re: "Fram Gate" in Arbcom
The only reason why I've ever edited Wikipedia has been damage control. Articles like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome kill people.
I have even created some articles just to accomplish that they would be disallowed, and the top Google search result would not be infested with lies.

Re: "Fram Gate" in Arbcom
Note that similarly, one of the more negative commenters at the PD talk page has been blocked as a sock of another editor who was banned and where I played a role in the banning. Fram (talk) 11:30, 13 September 2019 (UTC) If I can't even point to banned enwiki editors who elsewhere (or at enwiki th...

Re: "Fram Gate" in Arbcom
Their target was Incnis Mrsi and Almond Plate was collateral damage. Two editors down for the price of one. Because of Fram Gate, the slightest suggestion of incivility is now enough to remove long-time productive users. Hm, this doesn't look like due process, for instance. SPI without evidence. Out...

Re: "Fram Gate" in Arbcom
Indeed, given the Foundation's ongoing efforts to portray editing Wikipedia as some kind of fundamental human right, I'd urge ArbCom and indeed every Wikipedia Administrator to consider if they might not be breaking International Law each time they ban a user without being able to demonstrate due p...
