Re: Number of Wikipedia editors has declined by 80k over the past two years!

I can tell you i've been using sock for about the last 3 years. I'm certain some people know and it's only a matter of time until they block it and chaos ensues when they vandalize thousands of articles by deleting or reverting all my edits.

Re: Number of Wikipedia editors has declined by 80k over the past two years!

There are a bunch of reasons for the decline including, but not limited too: - the toxic editing environment - most major articles are already created - content creators are treated like they are the problem - Wikipedia has gone hard left with no desire ro be unbiased. - it takes months to get an ar...

Re: Is Wikipedia broken?

I think using the term broken for something like Wikipedia might be the wrong adjective. It's too vague and one persons trash is often anothers treasure. For most of us critics the answer is probably yes, certainly I believe so but if you ask someone like Beeeblebrox he'll disagree at the notion any...

Wikipediocracy comments about my socking

Not that I really care about whats said about me on Wikipediocracy, but I want to clarify a couple things said about me recently. - I wasnt banned for socking. I started socking due to the bullshit ban. Ignore all rules is a policy, so thats what I do. - I have an active sock there still and althoug...

Re: Who are the best Wikipedia editors and admins who got blocked or banned?

I agree. The vast majority of the active contributors and almost none of the admins are writers and most will admit that. Yet, as non writers they have an exceptionally uneven influence on those few that are the writers. And, that pool of writers is shrinking.

Re: Who are the best Wikipedia editors and admins who got blocked or banned?

I can think of a lot: - since magioladitis' desysop and automation ban development of Autowikibrowser has basically ceased. - eric Corbett could be a jerk but he was a great writer and created a lot of good/ featured content. - they lost hundreds of thousands of edits with my bullshit ban alone incl...

I agree on both points, but it all adds up.
