Re: something fishy at Black Lives Matter
I went downtown to check out Occupy Wall Street 1) OWS was a relatively small compared to some of the protests I was unfortunate enough to have wandered into in Europe (including a scare your pants off communist rally). It did not even compare to the hoopla of a European soccer game ending 2) NYC p...

Re: Molly White is running a blog bitching about NFTs and crypto
Classic Wikipedian backstab: losing the argument? Tell everyone you have some kind of physical or mental disability and the other guy is "being mean" to you. Sounds like something middle-schoolers would do? You got it. Molly White admits to being MENTALLY ILL and does damage control by calling for ...

something fishy at Black Lives Matter
Recent news about Black Lives Matters might make someone want to look at the Wikipedia article on the subject. Turns out that there are several articles, including one about the organization set up by Patrisse Cullors . Created Oct 21 2020 by an entity called Mangokeylime . Hmm what was going on ri...

Re: Greg Kohs moved to Florida.....
It has been a long-standing joke on Wikipediocracy that the operation is run out of Greg Kohs’ “fetid basement.” There is even a photo of the place, which even now adorns the Wikipedia “basement” article. yes but it was based on a comment from Prioryman. my memory is affected by disease but i seem ...

Re: Wikipedia editors vote that nfts aren't art
Also, back in 2018 "SiliconRed" wrote a screed on his blog attempting to encourage people to edit. Doesn't appear anyone took him up on it. Perhaps if this NFT squabble gets ugly enough, the Wiki-Fan-Boy will bail out in disgust. Hilariously, he used the 2011 statistic that only 9% of users are wom...

Re: Have no luck with unblock
Eric's socking tips are useful. Do not engage if one of them tries to communicate on your talkpage. Have plenty of socks on hand so you can switch accounts if someone tries to hassle you, and access to many IPs, especially dynamic ones. There are user agent changer apps that will be useful, use a va...

Re: Articles Wikipedia should have--but doesn't.
Wikipedia claims to hold power to account and have come up with en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veracity_of_statements_by_Donald_Trump , at 246K and with 347 references. The current president has no such article, despite being a politician for about fifty years: en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Veracity_of_...

Re: Racist Wikipedians try to cancel Olympic athletes
In true Wikipedia fashion, where they're more about the PR than the reality, the very first commenter actually argued this would be a good thing for systemic bias, because less sportspeople means less sportsmen, which means the percentage of biographies on women goes up! Reminds me of a bit of blat...

Richard Tingler, yes seriously. Apparently a mass/spree killer from around my neck of the woods, around the time i was born. I only heard of him because mom mentioned him, and i thought she was joking (because of the name) but nope, he killed six people.
