Re: Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Fram 2

So were Drmies and Fram ever active at the same time on NL-WP? Is there some old feud that they had with one another some years ago that trickled over to En-EP? They weren't, as far as I know. Other editors with a similar attitude started this, but when they followed me to en:wikipedia Fram joined ...

Re: Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Fram 2

I'm not sure if Guido is Dutch, but Fram is a Dutch-speaking Belgian, and Drmies is a Dutch ex-pat, so there might be a backstory here from another wiki. Fram does indeed write Dutch, not Flemish. He is Belgian but may have been brought up (if you can say that at all) in the Netherlands. The story ...

Re: Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Fram 2

Even though he tacked it onto that as cover, his oppose had nothing at all to do with the fact he saw Fram make libellous statements. Shiiiiiit, he and Fram are on the same page in that regard - if a person is banned, you can say what you like about them. Drmies is a similar type of asshole as Fram...

Re: Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Fram 2

The Drmies Effect Very early in this RFA -- when Fram was ahead by more than 75% [41:9] -- I predicted Drmies would oppose. I also predicted that his oppose [along with those from Carrite, Ritchie and Molly] would determine the outcome of this RFA. Let's take a look at things. As you'll see, Drmies...

Re: Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Fram 2

Drmies: this breaks down into two issues. The first is the unban of a twice banned editor by ArbCom in 2017. The unban was done in private, not announced to the community through normal channels, and the arbs did not even provide a statement about who supported, opposed, or abstained in this discus...

Re: Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Fram 2

He can always ask TonyBallioni to do the blocking for him, as he did while he was banned.

Everyone aware of the Fram RFA? Guy (help!) 23:38, 26 September 2019 (UTC)

You can count on Guy to help with the canvassing.

Re: Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Fram 2

Just to be clear, I do believe Fram really should have apologized to Guido, at least once it became obvious that the insult was unwarranted (which it was). You're right in that the Arbcom pussyfooted around that whole situation - it was almost like they were doing the wrong thing for the right reas...

Re: Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Fram 2

Providing "diffs" that are not visible to anyone but oversighters, while not providing the context is to put mildly, misleading. Alex Shih (talk) 16:35, 26 September 2019 (UTC)

I'm sure the whole community saw it before it was oversighted, and there are similar diffs still left untouched.

Re: Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Fram 2

I believe if you add one to the revision number, you will get the next revision along in the database and hence the date. In these cases it appears to be 28 November 2018 and 29 November 2018. Quite why these edits were not brought up in the ArbCom case (or even during the whole WP:FRAM discussion)...

Re: Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Fram 2

I have not seen any evidence that Fram's behaviour has even fallen below anything significantly lower than the highest standards under admins. To be fair, the highest admin standards on Wikipedia are at limbo level. There is no room to get significantly lower. It will be a close vote with a very hi...
