This has happened before?

Oh yeah, a couple of times. Not counting their trouble last year with PHPBB upgrading which took them offline for weeks. We had the same problem.

And I don't recall ever seeing any open discussion of these "unexplained outage things".

On March 7, after 16:00 UTC, I accessed Wikipediocracy normally. It is now 9 March 23:06 UTC.

But this is the first time we see this message, isn't it?
As far as I have understand the hosting has stopped.

Malicious bots overloaded the server, host shut us down until Somey can fix a few things and they approve the fix.

That's kinda funny actually. I wonder where those bots are from and why target that site. I wonder if it was someone related to Wikipedia.
