The Register had a way out last year, but it involved the ideas of Andreas Kolbe; namely either pay editors for their work (while ending anonymity at Wikipedia), or rig Wikipedia so it can be a source for infoboxes even though that will help along the "citogenesis" problem.
Still "Globally Banned" on Wikipedia for the high crime of journalism.

And you will notice that Andreas has done very damn little on Wikipedia (or other WMF projects) since then.
