A dynamic I have noticed is that articles are driven by a "current" event, movie, or happening.
I just watched a Netflix movie and low and behold a major revision occurs right to schedule.

Its a case of the tail wagging the dog.

Re: Netflix Movie Drives Editing/Adding/Articles
We had this discussion years ago. Proposals (some of them not bad ones) included getting rid of all BLPs, forcing a short moratorium on "breaking news" items, and modifying WP's miserable PHP code to disallow edits of more than a certain size without adding a reference. None of that happened and will never happen.
See those nerds in the header photo of this forum? NO ONE tells them what to do. Wikipedia is "their" little universe, and they do not tolerate outsiders giving them orders. It is no different from an old BBS, or a private forum. A place to scream "ME ME ME". (And constantly fight amongst themselves, but they will never admit THAT.)
