Star Wars Battlefront II shitstorm

Post by ericbarbour » Tue Nov 14, 2017 4:21 am

It was on Reddit, it was on Kotaku
https://kotaku.com/ea-defense-of-star-w ... 1820396527

And it resulted in Wikipedia vandalism. Just today the main article got almost 200 edits, plus full protection.....

Then it was put on Reddit
https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsBattle ... ff_to_you/

Not surprising at all, articles about popular games are routinely vandalized--especially games made by EA. Since EA has done many questionable things to secure exclusive rights to games based on major league sports, they are like a vast money-printing machine. Evidently the games need not be "good"; there's a vast supply of idiots who will buy them anyway.

As of September 2013, the franchise generated over $4 billion in revenue.

You can read more on EA's main WP article, which is 133k bytes long with 166 references, and is also routinely vandalized, AND is currently protected because of today's vandalism.
