Conflict of interest? I don't see the pun.

Mr. Barbour posted an interesting article about Ebay's founder and we got on a tangent. I'm asking whether anyone's bothered to raise the CoI issue on Wikipedia. If I understand, Gordon should not be editing ebay articles.

Probably not but if he were suspected seems like it wouldn't be hard to just block him without even giving a reason as so many others are.

The "insiders" are probably quite aware that he's doing this crap. Reporting him is a waste of effort.

Remember that "Friends Of Wikipedia" are permitted tacitly, but never openly, to control the content about themselves. Partly this is a result of various people, like politicians and corporate types, sucking up hard to Jimbo in the 2005-2010 period. Craigslist, eBay, Google, all kissed Jimbo's ass and donated money to the WMF in its early days.

Remember that Wales was invited to Richard Branson's private island in 2006, along with some Valley venture-capital assholes. Branson is only that nice to people he wants to manipulate. And he did: look at the history of Branson's bio. There's Bbb23, carefully watching it for "nasties".

Ask them who the hell this is. Go ahead.

One can only assume they are aware, but if nobody ever objects they'll go on pretending they aren't.
