The CPS program encompasses numerous established and emerging technologies, including conventional surface-launched missiles and air- and submarine-launched hypersonic missiles, although no specific CPS system has yet been finalized as of 2018.
CPS weapons are being added to Zumwalt-class destroyers RIGHT NOW. You have to look waaaay down into the article to see any mention of that--from 2023. Wikipedia is useless as a "news carrier".

Crap article about charming 1990s children program.
All it links to is this: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt12845230/

Which is the Internet Movie Database entry for the show, so it really isn't an article at all.

If you encyclo-pooter-thing already has this.....

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O%27Doher ... ory_Island

....then why bother having a separate article?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Tory_Island

You can thank/blame this fruitcake for it. Been on en-WP since 2007 and loves movie trivia.

You'd have to ask "Cornwallis" why he's so fond of this upper-class twit.

Why is there so much pointless repetition in articles?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austral_Islands
In the opening paragraph:
Geographically, they consist of two separate archipelagos, namely in the northwest the Tupua'i islands (French: Îles Tubuaï) consisting of the Îles Maria, Rimatara, Rūrutu, Tupua'i Island proper and Ra'ivāvae, and in the southeast the Bass Islands (French: Îles basses) composed of the main island of Rapa Iti and the small Marotiri (also known as Bass Rocks or Îlots de Bass). Inhabitants of the islands are known for their pandanus fiber weaving skills.[3] The islands of Maria and Marotiri are not suitable for sustained habitation. Several of the islands have uninhabited islets or rocks off their coastlines.
Under "Geography":
The Tuha'a Pae or Austral Islands (French: Îles Australes or Archipel des Australes) are the southernmost group of islands in French Polynesia, an overseas collectivity of France in the South Pacific. Geographically, the Austral Islands consist of two separate archipelagos. From northwest to southeast they are:

Is someone getting paid by the word? Or is it just OCD-driven stupidity?

Another possibility: This was written by somebody for whom English is a second or third language, and they didn't run the copy past a native speaker.

Cruisin' Style was a very popular magazine in the 1990s and early 2000s. "Rod" oriented, aimed mostly at the Deep South esp. Florida, and covering custom car shows in some detail, features that made it unique. The publishers killed it in 2010 or 2011, evidently an early victim of "online consolidation".

Wikipedia has had an article about it since 2008. And it's one of the WORST articles I've ever seen. No references and blog-like writing.

Yet another extremely repetitive article:

Again, if this is paid edited, he should ask for a refund.

Never you mind, just another small unnoticed dose of "Wiki-Slobber".

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bull_Rock_Lighthouse
The Bull Rock Lighthouse, is an active aid to navigation located 4 km off Dursey Island, Ireland.

Although requested, Calf Rock was chosen and an iron structure was erected and lit in 1866. In 1881 a violet storm broke the structure off just above the strengthened area (from 1870) so a temporary light was stationed on Dursey Island.
"violet storm" lol
The energy source was upgraded to vapourised paraffin, that uses a denatured alcohol burner to heat the paraffin and vaporize it.[5] On 28 June 1910 and to electric power on 21 August 1974.
And it goes on like that. A complete mess. Two unconnected mentions of the tunnel/hole thru the rock. Makes me wonder if vandals have been messing with this article (no idea about the hole) for years. Someone called Otr500 made a lot of the above-listed mess in December. Another "drive-by editor" who can't seem to concentrate whilst bleating his deep love of WP and enjoying some minor special privileges--including an IP block exemption. Not sure he's doing much useful work. But that's okay, he's an addict! And you can't use that "English a second or third language" excuse on him because he clearly lives in Louisiana.
