This was a massive joke. I'm not an expert in this area but the treatment Tuvel received was truly disgusting. If it's not a good paper, publish peer comments and let it be, that's how academic journals are supposed to work---oh, no we can't do that! We have to attack and abuse and humiliate her on Facebook and Twitter and Tumblr!!

The WP article seems a bit long and detailed. I see SlimVirgin worked on it quite a bit. The controversy seems rather recent, but WP seems to have become comfortable writing up current news. Which aspects of the WP article are of concern to you?
