Swiss Papers: another scandal on Wikipedia
Published on 04/06/2016 by Nicolas

English translation (c)2017- by Wikipedia Critics carried out with Trados Studio and proprietary scripts

Editing Wikipedia is a very time-consuming and addictive activity that pays nothing financially. In principle ... Experienced Wikipedians know that people or companies attach importance to their listing on Wikipedia and this was already publicly mentioned in the WikiCon2012 .

After having broken their teeth by trying to publish on Wikipedia by itself, the person or companies concerned are now ready to pay for pros to appear in a favorable light. As they will admit much later, Racosch associates' remunerated interventions date back at least December 2014 on behalf of the company Romande Energie (more than 90% of the text). For a company, getting out of cash is a problem; Paying an invoice issued by a company for "promotion" or "consultancy" activities is more convenient. So it remains to create the said society to transform the time spent playing Wikipedia in lucrative activity.

On February 25, 2015, while wikipedians are still traumatized by therevelations on the multiple identities of "Pierrot the chronicler",three eminent members of Wikimedia Switzerland solve the problem of theremuneration of their paid editions by registering the company RacoschS. .rl to the trade register of the Canton de Vau .

The statutes are very vague:
Racosch Sàrl, in Lausanne, avenue de la Gare 22, c / o Stéphane Coillet-Matillon, 1003 Lausanne, CHE-230.626.317. New Limited Liability Company. Articles of Association: February 25, 2015. Purpose: The Company's purpose is to provide public relations services; Its natural clients are associations, companies, companies and individuals (for full purpose see statutes). Obligation to provide ancillary services, preference or pre-emption rights: for details, see the statutes. Share capital: CHF 20'000 [ndl. ~ 18,000 €] . Managingpartners with individual signature: Coillet-Matillon Stéphane, ofFrance, in Lausanne, with 98 shares of CHF 100, Chairman, Ray Nicolas,Arzier-Le Muids, with 51 shares of CHF 100, and Schütz Frédéric inChavannes- Near-Renens, with 51 shares of CHF 100, both from Geneva. Publisher: Swiss Official Gazette of Commerce. Communications to partners: in writing or by e-mail. Accordingto the declaration of February 25, 2015, the company is not subject toan ordinary review and waives a restricted revision.
Creating such a business does not happen on a whim. Itis the fruit of a personal evolution of three people who, for a time, believed to be encyclopedists 2.0 then realized the editorial impasse ofthe project and finally realized that there was a profit to be drawn . Let's look at these three profiles.

Players

StéphaneCoillet-Matillon, administrator Popo the dog, when he still had faithin a French cabal (11 May 2007) CC-BY-SA-2.5 Author: Ludovic Péron aka Ludo29.

Stéphane Coillet-Matillon is a Lyonnais living in Switzerland . After a master's degree in biochemistry, he moved to political science at the University of Geneva. Hespent his first professional experience in the law firm Bär &Karrer and then worked for the cigarette industry Philip Morris (publicrelations) for 6 years. In 2013, he takes a sabbatical to study Chinese. His wikipedia career began officially on January 21, 2005; His first contributions are naturally dispensed from sources. He is co-opted administrator barely a year later, on February 5, 2006. Popo the dog faithfully serves Wikipedia and presents a brief address to the World Summit on the Information Society organized by the United Nations in Geneva on May 18, 2008. Having gained the whole Trust of Wikimedia, he becomes a bureaucrat on August 15, 2008.
Small accident on January 27, 2010: it uploads a bold video editing " Hitler and the election on Wikipedia.fr " which reveals an extremely critical attitude towards Wikipedia:

"We have 40% 2-line items on assholes that hit a ball. [...] It is necessary to know if we aim at an encyclopedia or an annex of France Football. [...] There are days when I really feel socialized with those who do more discussions than contributions. Saint Jimbo pray for us! [...] When I think I might be penarding to update infoboxes or flip all those copied lists from Poké mon.com . [...] Let someone erase the Wikipedia page : do not hesitate! If they look for me, I'll be on Knol . [...] And also block my sock puppet. "

Disenchanting? Lucidity? It could have cost him a lot of money ... He is nevertheless co-opting at the Arbitration Committee in March 2010 but does not renew his candidature in September 2011. His activities declared on Wikipedia fall sharply from January 2012: barely 89 editions in 2012 , 76 in 2013, less than 500 per year since; He also closes his blog The choice of chaos opened in 2008 and devoted to Wikipedia but continues episodically on CHwiki (his latest post is no shortage). He gives up his privileges as administrator and bureaucrat in January 2012. Loss of motivation in connection with the overwhelming fact made in his video of January 2010? The great inquisitor suspects him of having another principal account since then without saying which one; His faithful right-hand man even files a request for verification of IP address which naturally remains without continuation.

"Wikipediamakes the trombinoscope of the European parliamentarians" © France 3Alsace, 6 February 2014. At the WIKI loves Parliaments: EuropeanParliament on 4 February 2014.

On the eve of the European parliamentary elections in May 2014, he organized a photo shoot in the European Parliament . It is well known that this type of event is not only used to take pictures to illustrate Wikipedia. What is discussed in off is the contents of the cards devoted to the deputies and the policy in general. "How do I improve my Wikipedia page? The member can be discussed. "And so on. Everything has a price, is not it?

I na more coded language, Catherine Trautmann declared: "To allowparliamentarians to be better known and to be able to be present, thanksto Wikipedia, in the electoral campaign,

"This is a very good initiative."
StéphaneCoillet-Matillon is elected as a member of the board of directors ofWikimedia Switzerland in March 2014 and even becomes the executivedirector ad interim for more than a year. This gives him the opportunity to meet guru Jimmy Wales:

The best day of the life of Stéphane Coillet-Matillon © Twitter

He went around the wings of Wikipedia, and now goes behind the scenes of the "bank" ... In an interview with the RTS in December 2015, he begs for donations for Wikimedia while he criticized on his blog these Same calls. Gabriel Thullen ( akaGastelEtzwane) and Frédéric Schütz felt that he would have beenre-elected without any problem if he had stood up but declared that hewould rather devote himself entirely to Racosch To his new company,

On June 5, 2015, Stéphane Coillet-Matillon, aka Popo le chien, created at least one new sock-puppet: Leo Fischer who will not be renamed Pplc until March 30, 2016 ... when the Racosch affair is about to be revealed to Peons.

Image
NicolasRay, of the time when he still had faith, brandishing his weapon ofadministrator during a cabal romande (1st Dec. 2007) CC-BY-SA-3.0Author: Oblic.

Nicolas Ray aka Manoillon is of Geneva origin and is part of a profession that has literally taken control of Wikipedia: computer scientists. His professional careercrosses that of Stéphane Coillet-Matillon: after two years in acomputer box, he works from July 1998 to March 2014 for cigarettierPhilip Morris. Under the label Vert'libéraux , he is elected to the Arzier-Le Muids Municipal Council in 2011 (he is the main author of the card of this commune) and does not hesitate to go trolling the pages of While denouncing the manipulations of the wikipedia records of Swiss politicians in the press on June 10, 2015 (after lamenting in 2007 that they were the weak point of Wikipedia ).

His wikipedia career began on January 10, 2005 under the "pseudo" Nicolas Ray with which he was co-opted directoron April 12, 2006. He then obtained a transient renaming in Nicoray(which should not be confused with the former administrator Nicolas Raymond ) . Itis at this time that it seems to put already the finger in the jar ofjam with for example its protection of the paid contributions for theSwiss group Migros. A dialogue with an employee of this group leaves no doubt:

Congratulations for your work on Migros, I feel we are going to do something good with this article! Anything else, if ever we meet WP-Romandie on 22 September and you are of course welcome if you are interested. Nicolas Ray September 3, 2007 at 11:39 am (CEST)

Oh,thank you for pointing out this meeting, but unfortunately, as you nowknow, I work for Migros, and who says this big box, says work onSaturday. Especially since it is inventory on 22 September. Thanks anyway ! Kestral September 3, 2007 at 11:45 am (CEST)

Uh uh ... by rummaging the meta pages, I just learned that you have to ask an admin to rename a page! (Remembersto have renamed Migros => Federation of Migros Cooperatives withoutasking anybody ...) Kestral September 3, 2007 at 12:31 (CEST)

Normallyyou can rename it alone ... Apart from if the target page alreadyexists ... Too bad for the 22. Can not you even come and eat the fonduein the evening with us? Nicolas Ray 3 September 2007 at 12:54 (CEST)

Ineed to see if my girlfriend bump that night, if so, why not, but inventory + moving Lôzanne to Genf, it might be late ... At the moment Iput myself as not possible this time on WP-Romandie, I Will change ifcircumstances allow me.Kestral September 3, 2007 at 13:05 (CEST)
The Racosch partners will regularly return to the Migros Group pages.

Nicolas Ray sets sail on January 10, 2008 and abandons his privileges of administrator after an umpteenth altercation with a new and a splash in the wikipompiers leaving this message :

The reasons for this departure? A big, very big, too big raz-the-bowl. Raz-the-bowl of this [sic] all these frustrated loans [sic] at all to get here recognition that they are unable to get in real life. [...] especiallyof the foolish pedants, known or unknown, recorded or anonymous, whoknow better than anyone what is right or wrong, right or wrong, what youneed to do or not, what you Should have done or not and so much, soquick to let you know.

Norisk that I suddenly start to criticize and descend Wikipedia inflames: I believe in this project, I am absolutely convinced that a longand glorious future is promised to him. The idea is good, the basics are good, people come and go. [...]
Bigre! What a rancor accumulated against the game Wikipedia and its players! His absence lasts ... two weeks. He returns in catimini on January 25, 2008 under the pseudo Manoillon and is sponsored by his old accomplice Ludovic Péron (Ludo29) who is not unaware of the past of this "peon". He will even temporarily recover his administrator tools from May to October 2011 thanks to the support of ... Popo the dog, his partner in business!
Memberof Wikimedia Switzerland, he succeeded in hiring his wife Sabine Ray as"Administrative Assistant" (from September to December 2014 0.2 FTE),then "Administrative Manager" (0.7 and then 0.5 FTE since January 2015). It is his only professional experience. One is in the midst of nepotism. Thank you kindly donors!

Frédéric Schütz, founding member of Wikimedia Switzerland in November 2012. CC BY-SA 3.0 Ludovic Péron aka Ludo29.

Frédéric Schütz aka Schutz studied biology, mathematics and especially computer science; Heis teaching and research master at the Center for Integrative Genomics(Faculty of Biology and Medicine) of the University of Lausanne and a statistician at the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics . Oh, ironically , he criticizes the cigarette lobby that has long used his friends ...
It starts on Wikipedia in English on March 3, 2004 and on the French version on December 18, 2004. It is not a great contributor but is co-opted administrator on Wikipedia in English on August 15, 2007. Its activity falls on the two projects in 2010 and there are only 500 editions since 2012.
At Wikimedia Switzerland, he was a founding member in May 2006 . Francophonespokesman as of June 30, 2011 then vice-president of the associationfrom September 2013, he becomes secretary to the general assembly of2014 and is re-elected on April 2, 2016 despite the revelations onRacosch and with A comfortable margin ( 27 votes / 32 ). On a video of 2011, he does not hesitate to call for donations: "Wikipedia will remainfree and without advertising", but not without paid infomercials ...
On August 21, 2015, Frédéric Schütz uses an old string that all Wikipedians know: he creates at least one false nose ( Wicodric ) that he leaves sleeping until 11 February 2016 , when he uses it for Of remunerated contributions.
The Racosch band has at least one other member in freelance support: Imogen Hitchcock . His professional careercrosses that of Stéphane Coillet-Matillon and Nicolas Ray at thecigarettier Philip Morris where she works from September 2007 to March2015 in the department of public relations. In July 2015, she founded Beaumont , a consulting firm based in Lausanne. Racosch writes in her testimonial page: "Working with Imogen is a real pleasure - she's sharp, quickly understand the issues and works fast. I was particularly impressed at how hard she tries to understand her clients' mindset and identify their specific needs. As it is nicely said ...

Sowe have three veterans who have, at one time or another, come to apoint of disruption and disillusionment on "the greatest project ofhumanity." They master the subtle cogs of the infernal machine, have disposed of the main control tools, both editorial and financial. They are familiar with the founding principles, the usages and customs of Wikipedia.
And they are without morality.
After all, promoting cigarettes or pseudo-encyclopedic infomercials ... what's the difference?

Marketing
In order to develop a new company such as Racosch, it is first and foremost necessary to make it known in a targeted way. In May 2015, the three partners set up their website racos.ch (they are also owners of racosch.com ). Theevents organized by Wikimedia Switzerland are a great way to attractpeople and to put a little word on Racosch and ways to "improve" a WPcard. That is not enough, of course; It is also necessary to reach the professionals of the com '.
On April 16, 2015, Stéphane and Frédéric presented a workshop at SwissMarketing Vaud entitled How to make a good relationship between Wikipedia and Marketing? : "During this workshop, we will look back at the backstage of the website [...]. You will leave with good practices so that you can quietly fill in information that is valuable to the public. And above all you will leave with the business card of Racosch in your pocket [img]https://s0.wp.com/wp-content/mu-plugins/wpcom-smileys/twemoji/2/svg/1f600.svg[/img]
May 14, 2015 Stéphane animates a conference ironically titled How to make peace on Wikipedia? : "How is the future of a controversial article decided? Who mediates in conflicts and watches over the principles of neutrality of the encyclopedia? What are the methods of writing and evaluating the content of articles? "
On September 9, 2015, Stéphane Schütz and Nicolas Ray participate in Net-Academy Camp 2015 in Nyon (the electoral district of N. Ray), "a full day immersion in the contemporary social web". They present the smart way to "showcase a business or product". EdithPage, the co-founder and director of this training institute in digitalcommunication and social networks, also founded In-fuseon, acommunications agency specializing in Cleantechs. She wrote a few weeks later the chronicle Succeeding the Wikipedia page of his company in a Swiss magazine specializing in communication: " Benefitingfrom a Wikipedia page on his company is part of one of the undisputeddigital communication techniques to increase his natural referencing Andbe indexed systematically on the front page of the all powerful GoogleSearch, as well as in the search engine of Facebook. "She concludes:" In short, getting your business page on Wikipedia is not a matter of chance. Youhave three solutions: you get to the task using the help space proposedby Wikipedia (7), you train with professionals or you call on experts "... mentioning Racosch of course.

OnNovember 26, 2015, representatives of Racosch participate in a seminaron crisis communication organized by the Société Romande de RelationsPubliques (SRRP) at the Hotel de la Paix in Lausanne. Theyfind Karin Devalte (Romande Energie) with whom they are in businessrelationship, as Nicolas Ray confesses late on a subpage of his PU , since December 15, 2014.
On March 30, 2016 in San Francisco, Stéphane Coillet-Matillon presents Kiwix at a conference called Breaking Barriers: New Frontiers of Connectivity and Access . Who pays for the trip? NotRacosch ... He is accompanied by Adele Vrana, Interim VP ofPartnerships of the Wikimedia Foundation which organizes the event.
On June 16, 2016, the partners of Racosch return to the Société Romande de Relations Publiques for a marketing conference : " Cometo discover some aspects of this encyclopedia and to understand withconcrete examples how the world of the company and the Public relationscan use and enjoy this unparalleled visibility during this workshopfollowed by a cocktail dinners during which you will be able to exchange [your business cards] with specialists of the field [ cd . Racosch]. "

Confidences and recruitment
On June 1 , 2015, Stéphane Coillet-Matillon and Frédéric Schütz announce to the Board of Directors of WMCHthe creation with a third partner of a public relations company withoutmentioning the name Racosch nor the fact that it publishes Wikipedia. Itseems that some have been in confidence about the ins and outs of this"public relations society," but not all of them, as Gabriel Thullen, another member of the board of directors of the time, said. The Wikimedia Switzerland Conflict of Interest Directive, however, states: " Since conflicts of interest can not be avoided ..." (with a similar premise, this is already a bad start). Has a permanent conflict of interest should not be a member of the Board of Directors or Executive Management. "Itis very clear: when one runs a public relations company that publishesWikipedia for remuneration, one can not direct Wikimedia Switzerland. The persons concerned must inform the president (Patrick Kenel) or the vice-president (Frédéric Schütz). It is not known whether the president was placed in confidence; As to the deputy president or executive director, they were precisely the partners of Racosch . Of course, this pseudo-announcement remains without consequences but will later serve to make believe in transparency.
On August 15, 2015, a Festicabales meeting was held in Geneva, which included administrators such as Moumou82 (Mourad Ben Abdallah, former president of Wikimedia Switzerland), Pymous (Pierre-Yves Mével),Vigneron (Nicolas Belett Vigneron) Kelson (Emmanuel Engelhart), Floflo(Florian Pépellin); Formerdirectors Yann (Yann Forget), Popo le Chien (StéphaneCoillet-Matillon), Agamitsudo (Benoît Prieur, current member of theBoard of WMF); Andbabies such as Chat mats (Natacha Rault) or LaMèreVeille (Marie-PierreVidonne) of the Swiss women's biography project, which is supported by Wikimedia .
Between"old of the hurdy-gurdy" one let go and one lets go to the confidencesthat one would not allow oneself without a solid complicity forged inthe old battles wikipédiennes. Racosch's leaders therefore speak of their company with certain reliable comparses like Vigneron or Ludo29 (Ludovic Péron), but not with all. Thus Natacha Rault and Marie-Pierre Vidonne, who have recently joined Wikipedia, are too young to be totally corrupt; Their fidelity to the mafia having not yet been tested, they are kept in ignorance .
What is the purpose of this public revelation? A sudden bout of honesty? A recruiting maneuver actually. Thepartners of Racosch know, since the time they play, that the fate of aWikipedia file depends above all the good will of the band that isinterested. The founding principles and rules are only valid for those who believe in it. Everything there is a function of power relations between assiduous players. Itis therefore necessary to form a band to resist effectively anddiscreetly to the attacks without having to mobilize a army of falsenoses, too easy target of an IP check.

Breadcrumbs or wikitrakes
Cat mats (Natacha Rault) and LaMèreVeille (Marie-Pierre Vidonne) are preparing a writing workshop on notable Swiss women. Thisproject is well received at Wikimedia France but provokes reluctance onthe Swiss side where we fear a feminization of Wikipedia. Asthe workshop began, the new peons began to receive many negativecomments from a very active "Swiss wikipedist" ... Nicolas Ray, aka Manoillon!
Likeevery wikipedist, even beginner, Natacha and Marie-Pierre go intowikitraque, fall on Racosch and realize that the other two partners arealso members of the board of Wikimedia Switzerland they have justjoined! Whilethey ask how they separate their volunteer and remuneratedcontributions, they are told they change their cap according to theperson they are talking to. Unless they are authentic bipolar, all this stinks the conflict of interest ...

Slow exit of wood, pushed in the back
On February 26, 2016, Natacha Rault discusses the Racosch problem with Jules Xénard, aka Jules78120 editor and editor Jules78120, then employed by Wikimedia France and promoter of WikiMOOC (see her video starched on DailyMotion ). " Itwas the first time that I heard of experienced Wikipedians making paidcontributions, so I researched Wikipedia from their pseudo, " Jules later wrote ... Should we really believe in this naive ignorance? However,as an experienced Wikipedia, his wikitraque is well under way and theadvertorials are quickly flushed out: the Mido watches (Swatch group),the Pictet bank group, Debiopharm and the associated false nose.
Jules then contacted his colleague administrator Kimdime, " one of the Wikipedians in whom I trust, to have his opinion on the matter. He advised me very rightly to contact the interested parties at first, in order to try to regulate the thing with discretion. Betweenthe lines one understands that Jules does not trust all the wikipediansand that he prefers to wash the dirty linen with the shelter of theglances. In these circumstances, the e-mail exchanges on 29 February, 2 and 12 March naturally lead to nothing.

Meanwhile,Wikimedia Switzerland is in general assembly on April 2, 2016. NatachaRault, Marie-Pierre Vidonne and Gabriel Thullen (the board member keptin the dark during the June 1 , 2015 meeting) To discuss the Racosch problem.
Gabriel, who had repeatedly raised the issue of remunerated contributions in theSwiss federal elections of 2015 and proposed an investigation into theWikipedia in German, French and Italian, now understood why hisproposals had remained a dead letter: Already involved in paidcontributions. "Thereluctance of the Swiss Board of Directors to tackle the issue ofremunerated contributions is only an indication of a deeper problemwithin the chapter. Lackof transparency, confusion of roles and conflicts of interest have allcontributed to shifting the focus of chapter activities away from itsprimary mission which should be the support of local volunteerpublishers. If publishers start paying instead of volunteering, will it not affect the way in which voluntary work is perceived? This attitude goes directly against the values ??and culture of Wikipedia. "

FrédéricSchütz and Stéphane Coillet-Matillon delighted at the general meetingof Wikimedia Switzerland, 2 April 2016. Mauro Cassina (aka cassinam)

The General Assembly of WMCH is going under bad conditions. Startingrelatively late, the discussions focus on voting problems with morevotes than participants ... Moreover, in order to avoid harming anyonefrom Italian, German and French speaking, the debates of WMCH are heldin English ... Is not sure that everyone is following in that language. StéphaneCoillet-Matillon and Frédéric Schütz (Nicolas Ray is absent: it's hisbirthday) play low profile and systematically downplay their paidcontributions.
The slingers are faced with gullible wikimedians who stand around those in whom they placed their trust. Thestomachs shouting famine, the delicate subjects are skipped andeveryone goes to engulf a pizza in the middle of the afternoon. Next time, WMCH would be better off ordering sandwiches and leading the debate to the end ...

NB: black and white is the author of the picture.

Following this bitter failure, the slingers have no choice but the public unpacking. Private Jules takes charge by setting foot in the bistro on April 6, 2016 , without revealing any name of course. This is reserved for the insiders of the IRC clique.

Racosch method
Inthe wonderful world of Wikipedia, full of wikilove, in "the greatestproject of mankind", one knows how to go about to ... make spit to thepelvis!
The working method simply takes an example of the mafia. Threatening then extorting a "protection". So it was done for the card devoted to the watchmaker Mido and originally created by a single-object account . Atfirst, Nicolas Ray (Manoillon) barded {{refnec}} in December 2015 andindicated in a modification comment: "Neutralization - formatting - verydoubtful eligibility". Chrisa liege mechanically proposes the article to the deletion on December9: one of the associates votes the deletion, the other the conservation. Racosch then contacts Mido and warns him of the "danger" while offering him "protection". LeoFischer / Pplc "improves" the article and Manoillon changes his vote inneutral ... The article is kept by Leo Fischer / Pplc, all clean: Midopaid.
For the advertorial on Debiopharm, the players are more numerous. Manoillon and Wicodric, but also Emoso , a single - object account since August 2011 , and Ibeldan , have been rewarded for the creation of the Jorge Cañete card and intervene in a very sporadic way, A false nose or a man of straw. Together, they are responsible for more than 91% of the text on Debiopharm.

Image
© Migros / Racosch with the disinterested participation of fr.wikipédia.org .

To date, the Racosch partners have officially admitted the following infomercials:

  • Romande Energie, since December 15, 2014
  • Pictet Group & NPOV since July 18, 2015
  • Mido (watches) & PàS in December 2015
  • Mirabaud Group, since December 2015
  • Debiopharm (& PàS) since January 13, 2016
  • In vivo assisted fertilization (since February 22, 2016) on behalf of In Vivo Clinic
  • Leenaards Foundation, since April 11, 2016
  • Infomaniak, since May 2016
  • Association of Swiss Private Bankers, May 2016
Weare not going to detail here the events of each article on Wikipedia inFrench or in English ... It should be emphasized that these statementsintervene very late and only following the denunciation of two peopleswhereas at least 7 (ex-) administrators , Some of whom are also membersof the board of directors of Wikimedia France and Switzerland, have beenaware since August 15, 2015. This demonstrates once again the drift ofthe wikipedians and wikimedians, the total lack of ethics andintellectual honesty , The practice without any shame of the double gamewhich consists in chasing the peons for lack of sources, neutrality orfalse nose while they resort to exactly the same methods.

Consequences ?
Do not dream: we are on Wikipedia, a Sicilian village where all the inhabitants know who does what and practice the omerta. Mafia practices are seen as inevitable and are de facto accepted with resignation.
Of course: no formal request for IP verification for the accounts concerned.
The wikipedians will still organize a micro-pavement , to pretend that the community is doing something. Result:

  • Are the application conditions sufficient? NO
  • Ability to be admin, to express oneself in the community decisions (PaS ...) NO
  • What are the attitudes to adopt when paying contributions to an article? Message "paid contributions" on the DP of the contributor for identification (supposed to be mandatory at present) YES
  • Headbands at the top of modified items NO
  • Category hidden to facilitate maintenance [[Category: Article under remunerated contribution]] NO
  • Creation of dedicated accounts (for example Monpseudo $, Monpseudo € or other) YES
  • Undefined blocking of paid contributors NO
  • Obligation to indicate in article pdd that changes have been made in the context of paid work YES
  • Prohibition on a paid account of changing an item for which it was paid (or limitation of duty) YES
  • No formal solution 9 COMMENTS
Themost problematic in this "survey" is the refusal of the Wikipedians tosee the articles concerned tagged with an "advertorial" mention as it isdone in the press. Itseems that we are moving towards a relegation of this information onthe pages of which the average reader does not even suspect theexistence.

Epilogue
Thanks to you the peon who spends tens of hours to bring free peeled content on the net or (much more rarely) in libraries. Your voluntary and selfless work is not lost for everyone. Theadministrators who censure you year-round and the wikimedians whocollect the funds and then serve in the caisse, make sure to transformyour work into profit for them.
Wikipedia is now only a packaging for infomercials.

You should twiddle your trados settings, that smiley enlargement is just. too. much. ^^
and for your lexicon:

"faire cracher au bassinet": (expression) get someone to cough up some cash (not spit on their pelvis ^^)

practice the omerta: keep their mouths shut.

faux-nez: sock-puppet

dans le "main": in mainspace

Glad you found this interesting too. :)

Why ? Its not as though your book will be published in the foreseeable future by any reputed publisher.

Well that's a shame. Reading Nicolas@WB I thought of both TDK and Eric and wanted them to read his work. This has happened despite translation difficulties.

Nicolas@WB just announced his own translation on WO: https://wikibuster.wordpress.com/2017/0 ... in-french/

still no reply to my email, but comments are open on his blog.

Hi Sashi,

Thank you for the suggested translation corrections; I've implemented them.
I replied to your e-mail but got a delivery failure message.

@Wikipediacritics

I now see two of my articles published by wikipediasucks.co in a sad Google style translation. Well if you are interested by Florence Devouard & Co I can translate that one too and others. It takes time as I'm not a native English speaker. So be patient. Take note that I know nothing about the backstage of the other language Wikipedias and have no time to explore them, though I'm convinced that same patterns are to be found there. Hence I'm not going to actively participate to these fora (here or Wikipediocracy) as I have no resource to fact-check what is posted there.

As for the copyright issue I won't make any trouble about it: my ego is just standard size but I would have preferred you folk to ask permission beforehand as a matter of courtesy.

Hi Nicholas

Welcome to Wikipediasucks.co and thanks for being cool. Will definitely ask in future. Sometimes a machine translation is better than nothing at all.
