Good, bad, biased, paid or what-have-you. There's an endless supply.

Oh, it gets dorkier...... Every episode of the new Netflix She-Ra reboot now has its own list-page because the show is over: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_S ... r_episodes
That seem to be how they deal with TV shows, log everything so it can be scraped by fan Wikias, even though TV Tropes lists episodes as well, so it's needless replication. Copypasting news stories from the AP into recent event articles and making pages for every cartoon that might also have an adult fanbase (and the new She-Ra has that in spades because Noelle Stevenson and Molly Ostertag decided to write a story that becomes a gay romance between the title character and her enemy, Catra) seems to be the bulk of the work done in Jimbo's Jungle. It's easier to do this than fill out all those empty pages on single-celled organisms that was started in the Bush II years.
Still "Globally Banned" on Wikipedia for the high crime of journalism.

If it's LGBTQ++, rainbow-ish, or adjacent, it gets "speshul treatment". No matter how crap it actually is.

Speaking of rainbows. Have another crap company article that was edited by the company.....

It's not actually a bad article. Just overlong, talky, and somewhat lacking in references.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferroelectric_RAM

Major contributor: one of their oldest surviving administrators, Maury Markowitz. He's a hardcore nerd but not really an "expert" in anything. More of a "casual" grinder. He only does about 100-200 edits per month, and usually during the workday at the office. (Figure out which hedge fund he works at and you could possibly get him fired. Not that there would be any point to that, nor should you do it.)

Another example of a chatty article about an utterly obscure technical subject, this one entirely written by someone/thing called "Renewableandalternativeenergy":

Wanna see clear proof that Wikipedians think Adolf Hitler is a "cool subject" to have excessive amounts of content about?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Possible_ ... olf_Hitler

The "cream" of Wikipedia admin corps seems to have this article on their watchlists. (insert shrug emoji here)

Also, this poorly written and very poorly sourced article about the drug company that made the Reich's favorite pills (Pervitin):

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temmler

Very good article about the whole sordid subject

(For some reason my FB feed is full of Nazi-adjacent crap on the 4th of July....)

Have a list of red links dating back FIFTEEN YEARS. Created in November 2005, diddled but never improved.

Wanna see a BIG list of red links? This one is 233 kbytes long....

My friend John Atwood sent me this email:
For a collection of articles and books, see:
https://worldradiohistory.com/Petrillo.htm

I particularly liked:
https://worldradiohistory.com/Archive-P ... y-1937.pdf

It is amazing how much power this man had, and how much grief he caused.
My response:
Thanks for reminding me. By comparison his Wikipedia article is short and useless. One of the most powerful and colorful union leaders in American history (the only one ever mentioned in a Bugs Bunny cartoon) and all he gets for "posterity" is a pathetic lump. I'm posting it on the forum.

And why is the "In popular culture" section longer than the rest of the article? It's Wikipedia--some hapless robotic nerds probably did that.

What Bugs Bunny cartoon? Skip to the end:

This isn't a BAD article, it's GREAT one. Excesssively detailed in fact.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwight_Co ... nal_Center

Entirely written by one person, who apparently scraped the facility's long history from the morgue of the Bloomington Pantograph newspaper, plus other local papers.....should have just written a damn book and gotten PAID for all that research.

(Pissed-off ex employee?)
