Know what? Someone should tell Shannon1, the "dam nerd" who created El Vado Dam, to update the fucking article.

Because the dam is falling apart, and has been for three years.......

Mortgage Lifter is a tomato developed in West Virginia, but the permastub article at wikipedia is different than what the vaunted 'reliable sources' say (im not actually sure if Coal Valley News qualifies but theyd have no reason to lie.)

here is the article, tagged for poor citations since 2013:
Mortgage Lifter is the name given to a cultivar of tomato developed by Willam Estler of Barboursville, West Virginia, in 1922. He registered the name in 1932, several years before "Radiator Charlie" and his "Radiator Charlie's Mortgage Lifter". Robert Howard Estler, last remaining son of William Estler, died in October 2012.

According to many sources on the Internet, the Mortgage Lifter was not developed by Willam Estler. Instead, it is said to have been developed by M.C. "Radiator Charlie" Byles in Logan, West Virginia.[1] Byles is said to have developed it in the early 1930s. However, as mentioned above, Byles' and Estler's breeds are distinct cultivars.

The original Mortgage Lifter is known for its mild sweet flavor, and can weigh as much as two pounds (900 g). Byles' and Estler's cultivars are only the most well-known of a number of Great Depression-era tomato breeds named "Mortgage Lifter". These were developed for the nursery plant market, and named after their presumably high saleability, which allowed small-scale plant nurseries and farmers to recover from debt.
idk whether William Estler grew Mortgage Lifters but Coal Valley News and an opinion piece in Parkersburg News and Sentinel seems to say it was Radiator Charlie. no idea who JJ Barrett is but i dont know why they would lie.

EDIT: well i guess wikipedia is correct, but these are two different tomatoes in a single article. still it qualifies as crap so im leaving it.

One of the finest examples I have ever seen, of Wikipedia being used to defame a wealthy and powerful individual.....

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patrice_Pastor

Mentioned mostly because Pastor is trying to buy up and control that absurd little rich-people hobbit town called Carmel.
https://www.sfgate.com/centralcoast/art ... 602504.php

You can thank French WPer C0273x for the cruel part.

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=1219046750

Is Monaco run by gangsters? It's been whispered a few times. But ask WP and you get this pile. Practially drips with disapproval. But tells you very little in the way of factual history.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippe_Pastor
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gildo_Pallanca_Pastor

and especially
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H%C3%A9l%C3%A8ne_Pastor

And they're just business owners. Imagine what angry Wikipedians must think of the Grimaldis.

And you thought the Pastor article was shit of the week.....found something even worse

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunset_Key

Featuring some of the funniest tag boxes I have ever seen. Squabbled over since 2005. I don't see any obvious paid/COI editing but that doesn't mean there isn't something going on here. Well covered up (?)

Why is Donald Albury gatekeeping it? Because he's a longtime administrator, AND a former arbitrator, no one dares to challenge him about his "expertise" on Florida topics. Nor about his tendency to write WP articles about PEOPLE HE KNOWS OR IS RELATED TO (despite hating paid editing). Many of them openly listed on his userpage. His content work isn't very good, but that doesn't matter, he's an insider.

"Experts are unwelcome" unless they they have janitorial keys.

The inventor of the SSD and uh former alleged "stinkbomber", let me know he loathes Wikipedia, and without reaching out to him. Dunno what his beef is. I noticed they have a lengthy Wikipedia article on him in mainspace, so maybe his issue is that article.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Bell

A brief look and I already see some questionable stuff. For starters, his social media shows he is not "one of the internets most famous essayists". He doesn't even appear to be in the top few million commentators.

The article does side with some of Jim's account numerous times though.
in part due to the government's violation of the terms, government agents instructed fellow inmate Ryan Thomas Lund to assault Bell.[27] [... and] during a subsequent trial, the ATF admitted to planting [a listening device] on his car

Im not exactly sure were to put the following:

Teen Titans Go! See Space Jam is probably one of the worst DTV DC comics/Warner Bros Animation DTV films produced. As its one of the worst films I have ever seen its basically a cheater film with some new animation of the teen Titans Go team watching various sequences from Space Jam (1996)

so it was attempted to write an article for it:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teen_Tita ... _Space_Jam

It was redirected to another article as someone demanded the film not "noble" enough to deserve an article which we all know is bullshit as Wikipedia has some serious issues on what deserves an article, but noble enough only to redirect it to another article rather than delete it. That all and well we can just use some tricks to view the page history edit logs to see the unredirect version of the this films article?

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?ti ... on=history

Wrong, it turns out a whole lot of edits are not available for public viewing so that makes me wonder
+ What so serious that they hide dozens of previous edits from public viewing
if it was for copyright reasons then its just highlights the stupidity that goes on Wikipedia on dailybases not to mention that majority of article on Wikipedia are just one copyright violation after anoher.

Yeah, apart from the "notability" business, I don't know what to tell you about all those deleted revisions. Somebody pissed off a patroller admin and they did even pissier things. Supposedly nerds hate the Teen Titan Go series and this would tend to indicate how much they hate it.

Still doesn't qualify as a "crap" article. Wanna see some of the worst writing WP has to offer?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supersonic_aircraft

Count up all the repetitions of text and statements, and the errors. I'll wait.

Small but stupid example:
The only supersonic civilian aircraft to see service were the Soviet produced Tupolev Tu-144 which first flew in 1968 and last transported passengers in 1978, with NASA retiring it from any use in 1997;
Might also note: the total lack of mention of Boom Supersonic and their designs. The main article lists a load of failed supersonic aircraft projects, but Boom actually have a test aircraft in operation.

this seems to be the last good version. it was botched in this edit by Howardcorn33 with the edit summary:
19:02, 19 September 2024 diff hist −3,096‎ List of national flags of sovereign states ‎ I removed those dastardly "#invokes" which mysteriously spawned all across the citation templates, which somehow fuzzed up the process of editing those citations in VE, returning an inexplicable error message all the while! thank Tag: 2017 wikitext editor
lol hes trying to edit tables using visual editurd which would be hilarious in itself but also his name is all over the edit history and he didnt even notice he broke the table by trying to make visual editurd work :jerkoff:
