Cazals, very famous old school urban style frames: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cazal_Eyewear
Cazal is a luxury sunglass designer based in Germany which manufactures the Legends line of sunglasses, created by Austrian designer Cari Zalloni.[1]

History
Cari Zalloni founded Cazal in 1975 with his business partner Günter Böttcher. Zalloni wanted to make sunglasses with mismatched lenses, a design detail that recently became popular at Virgil Abloh’s Spring/Summer 2021 show for Louis Vuitton. Reportedly, the sunglasses are worn by Hussein bin Talal, the former King of Jordan, and Hosni Mubara, the former president of Egypt.[1] Cazal sunglasses have been especially popular among hip hop artists, including Run DMC[2] and Rick Ross. Rick Ross has a facial tattoo of the Cazal logo.[3]

In 1985, the a Philly rap group named the Cazal Boys made a song called “Snatchin Cazals.”[1] The company introduced more frames in 2015.[4]

No, THIS is depressing:

The Aurora Police Department has been renowned for decades as a brutal, bigoted, trigger-happy bunch of cowboy wannabes. Try this for a summary. Aurora is a cruel town, even compared to other (bigger) Colorado cities like Denver and Colorado Springs. Their cops also have a long history of abuse--but not as bad as Aurora.

The "Misconduct" section of the WP article is a litany of horror stories. Yet it only goes back to 2015, and it isn't even complete in that time period. Back in 2013 the mayor of Aurora wanted an independent monitor appointed to watch the PD. There was no monitor AFAICT, just increased craziness.

What the hell does this mean?
For instance, there hasn’t been a recent rash of officer-involved shootings — as there was a few years ago
The following stories and incidents are not mentioned in Wikipedia. At all. Elijah McClain was far from the first or the last victim of Aurora's demented form of "law enforcement" but his killing gets the most play on WP.

What about all this?

How many articles do you think Wikipedia has about My Little Pony? Well if you guessed anything under several dozen, you're wrong.

Not only is there the main article (which is over 150k bytes), there is: Amazingly, the main maintainer of these articles is supposedly a woman. I say "supposedly" because Wikipedia is so insane that it's reasonably possible that it's actually some determined neckbeard pretending to be an Asian woman.

A large amount of the articles are "good articles" supposedly. One of the episodes is even an FA, despite the fact that the first ten paragraphs are entirely unsourced. Also, it's pretty funny that it was FA'd TEN YEARS after it aired. The article contains what is possibly the funniest sentence on Wikipedia:
They deal with themes that have been considered serious and complex for a children's television series; scholars believe that they involve feminism-related themes.
There's also this Commons category. Surprised there isn't more.

Edit: The Commons uploader also uploaded "Futanari" (don't google that), which Dronebogus is also obsessed with. Almost certainly part of the same meatfarm.

Edit 2: Dronebogus was even on the talk page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Clop ... ute_legend

Do you think Dronebogus and Trade are part of the same meatfarm? They have all of the same interests and often edit the same files?

You might never prove it.

New item:
https://gizmodo.com/doctor-who-an-unear ... 1850933733

Does Anthony Coburn have a Wikipedia biography? Yes he does. And as usual, it rants on and on and ON about his writing for Doctor Who very early in the show's history. Everything else Coburn wrote is shuffled off to the side. Apart from the Who connection, I suspect he would be regarded as "non-notable", and thus invisible.

Because, once again, Wikipedia believes Doctor Who is the "greatest television series ever made".

(I'm surprised they aren't posting something about his son, whose xTwit is full of rants about vaccines and NWO stuff. The one about his son's death was especially "charming". The UK is full of angry geezers like him. But OF COURSE Stef Coburn isn't "notable" blah blah.)

This competition was decided back in September 2010. THIRTEEN YEARS AGO. The WP article was abandoned before the final results were announced, and so it has sat, unfinished.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automotive_X_Prize

You have to go to the Progressive X Prize website to learn who won.
https://www.xprize.org/prizes/auto

Or to the NY Times article.
https://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/16/auto ... NNERS.html
In September 2010, $10 million was awarded to three teams: • $5 million to Edison2, winner of the mainstream class • $2.5 million to X-Tracer, winner of the alternative class (tandem seating) • $2.5 million to Li-Ion Motors, winner of the alternative class (side-by-side seating)
There is an article about the Edison2 car. It DOES mention that the Edison2 "Very Light Car" won the general prize. But said article has also not been updated since 2010. They are still in business as E2Mobility, and claim to be trying to develop an efficient vehicle for marketing "in 2024". Don't hold your breath.

There are no articles about the other two winners, the X-Tracer (like most of the contestant companies/groups, it looks as if the X-Tracer group disappeared) and the Li-Ion Motors Wave II. There's a video claiming the Wave II "will be available to the public December 2011!" Nope---their website was abandoned in 2013. All that money seems to have gone to waste.
