The "Threatin" scam

The MetalSucks story also features a deep dive into Jered Davis’ social media presence and some drama surrounding Threatin’s attempt to claim a bullshit-packed Wikipedia. It’s all a lot of fun, and we’re excited to see what the band does next.

In fact.....
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Threatin
Created today. And made as mean and as negative as possible. Because.....

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia ... n/Threatin
Happened in March. All the original edits are gone so I have no idea how the original article looked.
But the MetalSucks website has more. "LisaGolding", the creator of the article, was Threatin's manager. She fails badly at the soclai-media promotion "business". Still doesn't explain why Wikipedia HAS to have an article blubbering about a minor music-industry scam. Similar shit happens all over the world and every day. Hollywood is rotten with people pulling comparable media tricks--often involving far more money than Threatin would ever possibly earn. So what.

Because editors Gaia Octavia Agrippa, Hrodvarsson, and Koavf are secret metalheads, while LuvataciousSkull is more open about it. And once an article is created that isn't a stub, people just can't help but screw with it.
Still "Globally Banned" on Wikipedia for the high crime of journalism.

A few reporters (very few) noticed this.
https://metro.co.uk/2018/11/10/la-band- ... s-8125654/
https://www.rt.com/shows/watching-the-h ... e-cameras/

The article looks like an excellent candidate for a future (second) AFD. Huzzah.
