Hot sauces
Lately I've been trying to expand my palette and tolerance for hot sauces.
I've been a fan of sriracha and ketchup for awhile and after watching this podcast have decided to try some new sauces.

I ordered a bottle of this recently.. don't know the Scoville ratings but I mostly ordered because of the bottle..
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MXTBQ1A
It's pretty hot to my taste although it seemed to wear off pretty fast.. tastes a bit like Tabasco
I also ordered a bottle of the "Hot Ones" hot sauce .. will report back once I have tried it.

Re: Hot sauces
That sauce is worth it for the bottle.
The Amazon answered question section points to: Blair's Guinness World Record holding 16 Million capsaicin crystals.
Company food that nobody can mess up: http://www.homemadeitaliancooking.com/s ... ff-pastry/. Tonight I made two individual servings with lemon dill white sauce instead of the recipe's sauce and a sauteed onion in the spinach filling. The minute I was ready to take the Wellingtons out of the oven the burner element broke and started arcing. That was fun!

New Dragon Breath Chili Pepper could cause a life-threatening anaphylactic shock if consumed and measures 2.48m on the Scoville scale.
Re: Hot sauces
What's the use of heat in a sauce if it's an ordeal to taste? Tabasco sauce, green chili sauce, maybe some red chile sauce for enchiladas and other Mexican food.

Perhaps it’s a myth but I recall once hearing that the point of hot sauce was to make you sweat so you’d cool offf in hot climates .. I will a test that at least to some degree it helps my sinuses.

Re: Hot sauces
If you like hot try one of these:

Some friends from work pitched in and got one of these, we broke it into pieces about the size of a quarter and it still burned like a hot coal!

Re: Hot sauces
Best food purchase this year was chili garlic sauce. I never knew what I was missing. The last red pepper flakes I bought are either weak or my taste buds are too aged. No matter how many I put on pizza it never tasted spicy. Problem solved with chili garlic sauce which is also great in pasta salad.
