The English culture was very important for my parents. My father was raised in England, he has finished his study at St Catherine's College, and the English were the liberators of Holland. So, Christmas had to be as English as possible.

I wasn't in England for more than 35 years, but I have still good memory's.

Yorkshire pudding was another important part of my childhood and wasn't difficult at all if you had just made a large beef roast. It's a simple batter of flour and eggs, cooked in the fat.
