Now that I noticed Worm That Turned has put their name in the hat for Arb...again, I really have to question what they are thinking. They self requested desysop just last May because they were too busy to edit and didn't see that changing and now they are running for arb on a non admin ticket? I mean really, its an admin ticket because all he has to do is ask for access back and they were already a arb, so saying they are running on a non admin ticket really isn't fooling anyone. Actually, if you ask me this is Dave's way of showing that the arbcom is worthless and he really doesn't respect it or the community. If he is too busy to even be an admin then how would he have time to be an arb? My take on this is that he will sign up, get elected (probably), make a big deal out of how he was elected on a non admin ticket and the will put his name on the inactive list where he will just sit there in case there is an Arbcom case he is interested in or wants to sway in a certain direction.
Every year these Arbcom elections become more of a joke than the last!
Arbcom 2018 Candidate: Worm That Turned
Re: Arbcom 2018 Candidate: Worm That Turned
Worm that Turned actually never turned, he is still just a worm. For those who recall reading this person at the various Arbcom cases etc. he's like the slimiest wanna-be lawyer ever. "And so, people of the jury, it is obvious that by accidentally stepping on his toe that the defendant tried to murder my client." He is lower than low. I remember the job he did on Kiefer Wolfowitz, that was horrible.
I am "Modsquad" here, and participate, but I don't want you to think we can't have an angry argument.

Yeah I pretty much agree. I thought he was trying to help me out when he unblocked me and in email I asked him if he was going to leave me hanging when the lynch mob inevitably showed up and he assured me he wouldn't. Then, when the trolls and vandals started after me again where was he, no where to be found, too busy to keep his own word and stand up for the decision. In the end it wouldn't have mattered because there were clearly more people who didn't want me editing than did, but it would have shown trustworthiness and I would have respected that. Instead, now I just think he is the typical Wikipedia admin/arb weasel..errr, worm!

So......he didn't for see Floquenbeam having this hard a time at RfA, just like he was surprised that the dossier the WMF has on Fram was as large and detailed and nuanced as it was......Well this is rather a pain. As an arb, I'm currently looking at the Fram case. I've also made a few statements on the matter, including one stating that I expected Floq would sail through an RfA. Looks like I was wrong on that count. I'm happy to read through and weigh up consensus, but will consider requests for recusal too. WormTT(talk) 22:21, 29 July 2019 (UTC)
Isn't it about time he stepped down?
Rather than have this guy going three for three, it's clear that his votes in the Fram ban review Case will be similarly affected by his inability to see all sides of a dispute before the reality of his blindness hits.
As I wrote at the time, Worm only got back onto the Committee due to the fact there were only eight viable candidates for eight seats. He is not there on merit, and as an old hand, he is certainly not there for his current knowledge of the voices emerging from the community that want a harder line taken on harassment and against vested contributors and untouchable legacy admins.

You should do yourself a little credit: there were 9 viable candidates for 8 seats, which explains how you nevertheless managed to only pick 7 out of the 8 right.
best,

I picked all eight who would gets seats correctly, not that this was a feat.
The real skill came in how close I was to predicting the correct finishing order.
