In this case, leading the way is lifelong dullard Aquillion (Registration date: 2004-09-26), whos most highest edited article by far is "Gamergate (harassment campaign)" with nearly 1,000 edits. Number 2, is the 629 edits he's made on Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents/Requests/Enforcement/etc crap. And 3rd is, "political correctness" (420 edits).
HouseOfChange is a very obviously autistic editor with a strange fixation on apparently random BLPs. Despite having joined way back in 2014, after one single author and book, his by far most common area of editing is, like dullard-in-chief Aquillion the Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents/Requests/Enforcement/etc hellhole.
GizzyCatBella is one of your many run-of-the-mill Polish nationalist editors who do their thing as they do, with the intriguing complication that her years of editing demonstrate a viciously anti-Ukrainian prejudice. Her primary raison e'tre for being on Wiki seems to be emphasizing Ukrainian collaboration with the Nazis during WWII, in order to minimize Polish collaboration with the Nazis during WWII. She's not much interested in Russia (again, sets her apart from most of Wiki's SuperPoles). She also spends a lot of time on the Incident/Administrators boards, and contributes very little actual content (she doesn't like to read).
Mhorg is an obvious Russian troll. Dedicated to spreading disinfo that comes straight from the Kremlin. Anti- Alexey Navalny edits are his no. 1 pastime.
New Kid On The Block IP:109.255.211.6, is cut from much the same cloth as Mhorg, only a lot less dumb.
newcomer BSMRD, who's User Page assures us she is "a woman" (*gasp!*) and a "socialist", edits largely in defence of Communist regimes (Cuba, North Korea, China - which of course is not communist, but she'll never go there so what does she care - and, strangely, the hyper-capitalist Russian Federation).
another relative newcomer, Endwise is very active, as she is, in pursuing her pro-LGBT and anti-Alt Right political agenda in domestic US politics. (they love to spot a Nazi... even when they're clearly not there!)
Mhawk10 is just a 2019 model of Aquillion-esque dullardness. Until the "Uyhgur Genocide" debacle, his edits on Admin/Incident board crap absolutely dwarfed anything else he did. Although he joined Aquillion and BSMRD in their attempts to diminishing the responsibility of Marxism or Marxist socialism for the "Mass killings under Communist regimes" article. Where of course they were happily supported by the likes of C.J. Griffin, TheTimesAreAChanging and all other Boomer editors still shouting "Ban the bomb!" and listening to Neil Young sing kumbaya in whatever is the whitest part of America they can get to (Oregan, Wash State, Colorado... San Fran is too expensive for those whose jobs allow them to spend much of their waking hours pretending to be clever people in the WikiWorld.)
But I digress...
What happy coincidence brought this gang of underachievers together to produce nearly 14,000 word long Administrators' noticeboard/Incident?
Well, you see, the article on the Azov Battalion is want to attract all kinds of miscreants. (1) American Leftists (Aquillion, BSMRD, Endwise, Mhawk) desperate to find proof of the existence of actual Nazism in the world - all the better if it is somehow connected or can be blamed on America; (2) Russian disinfo trolls (Mhorg and the IP) intent to make the Azov bigger and more powerful and superduper Nazi than any of the many other militias in the conflict with extremist backgrounds; (3) GizzyCatBella, the strangely Ukrainophobic Polish nationalist; (4) and perennial drags like HouseOfChange, because, he's always hanging around there anyway, nothing to do with Azov.
The heretic they were out to burn?
Poor Elinruby, member since 2006, never blocked, 66,415 edits across an array of topics, with no obvious political, personal, or ideologically agenda that I can apprehend at a glance. Most importantly, she (I'm assuming she's a she, could be wrong) has contributed more actual content, sources, research, and useful expertise than the other 8 combined, many times over.
She - correctly as far as I can tell - questioned the neutrality of the current article of the Azov Battalion. Well, how dare she, she would rue the day!
BSMRD's opening salvo, (WOMAN, SOCIALIST remember!), was 1,000+ word long list of complaints. It's painful to read through, the word "annoying" is used a lot, BSMRD objects to being asked to address the low quality of the sources in the article, BSMRD claims there's already a consensus and Elinruby's opinion doesn't matter, BSMRD claimed Elinruby was canvassing by asking for input from Ukrainian editors, etc, etc. A whole lot of nothing. But 1,000 words of it.
Then the pile on. Some fella called SN54129 objects she's written too much content for the "Russian information war against Ukraine" article. She added a lot of content, all of it well-sourced, and from what I can tell, may have been slightly dismissive of editors bringing up their own, lower-standard sources to bat against hers.
Mhawk10 then comes on, totally not self-interestedly at all of couse, to "propose that Elinruby receive a three-month one-month WP:TBAN from making edits that pertain to the Russo-Ukrainian war, broadly construed."
BSMRD thanks him (in like, nearly 300 words).
A fella called Mathglot, defends Elinruby's honor and conduct, saying she is merely overly enthusiastic about WP:RS and NPOV, but provides great content and source.
Mhawk10 reiterates his call for a 3-month topic ban.
The seemingly normal Buidhe testifies as to Elinruby's hard work and high standards.
Mhorg the Russian troll retorts: "Support TBAN for Russia-Ukraine topics. After reading this comment I think an indefinite ban for all Eastern European topics is correct. The user is too involved in a political defence of Ukraine, his\her work risks being manipulative. The user also left me a DS on my talkpage (which honestly I still don't understand what it is for), perhaps to intimidate me?"
BSMRD accuses Mathglot[/b and Elinruby' of SPAMMING for some unfathomable reason.
HouseOfChange, in a moment of pure lack of self-awareness only the autistic are capable of, writes 250 words supporting Elinruby being topic-banned, one of the longest posts he's ever made in his Wiki career btw, and ends it with: "WP:CIVIL is a pillar of Wikipedia. The project suffers when bullies are left to thrive."

A little further down HouseOfChange writes a 350+ word post "Request block", quoting Elinruby's edit summaries and such as characterizing them as bullying.
Slatersteven, a user who I've noted after looking at his last few thousand edits, is always threatening things and proclaiming authority over things, speaking like an admin, and, of course, is always on these Incident boards like the rest of them, comes in with: "Support TBAN After the above refusal to get it, and in fact the claim they have been " made a superhuman effort to be polite" (or the same amount of effort everyone else has made here) I think it is clear they need cooling of period.
The Russian troll IP 109.255.211.6 unsurprisingly "Supports sanctions"
Renewed attacks by BSMRD, HouseOfChange, Elinruby writes thousands of words and cites hundreds of sources (literally, hundreds) in her defence.
An of course, through another 800 or so words Aquillion, Endwise, BSMRD again and again, Mhawk10 , oh, and another Russian troll I forgot Vladimir.copic, all support the call for a Topic Ban... for... what I think in total amounts to... stubbornly high expectations around RS and NPOV, sometimes being impolite, but never edit-warring.... well, we know the real reason: she was outnumbered 8-10 to 1-3.
Thankfully, the admin, El_C saw this with-hunt for what it was.
But imagine if it was Bbb23 or some other sadist.
This, ladies and gentleman, is what the core, the very inner sanction of Wikipedia's functionality has become.
