All you're doing is reminding people that the Wikipedia community is not representative of the real world. By a massive margin.Carrite wrote:171-2 and counting...
For the record, there's now at least five editors prepared to openly admit that his name definitely sounded like an innuendo to them. Imagine how many would do so if the culture on Wikipedia wasn't so fucked up, or if you had a diverse group of people there?
Why aren't you calling them crazy Timmy?
Whassa madda? Chicken?
There's a reason "Anyone" likes your posts. He's chicken too. Neither of you two ever address the substance of my posts. Too afraid to do so, revealing as they do your true characters, the die-hard Wikipedian and the butthurt apprentice I apparently rejected without even knowing it. Only interested in trying to land cheap shots. Which is itself a window into your characters.
When you've got an argument to make, make it. If not, well.....

Everything all right Timmy?

Crow wrote: "the Wikipedia community is not representative of the real world."
What are you trying to tell us, that a Wikipedia community is a representative of the real world?
Well, Timmy that should be a clinically delusional I have seldom seen in my life.
Re: Girth Summit @ RfA
And when did that happen?Carrite wrote:CrowsNest wrote:All you're doing is reminding people that the Wikipedia community is not representative of the real world. By a massive margin.Carrite wrote:171-2 and counting...

Or is my illness that I just didn't see it?
You talk so much crap Timmy.

The very idea that only five people on Wikipedia can see the innuendo in "Girth Summit" is laughable, and you fucking know it. This is you Wikipedians all over, happy to shamelessly lie to the world, rather than admit the gaping flaws of your project.
You're the delusional one. It would make no difference to you to point out the fact he is considering explaining his username choice. Why would he do that, if only crazy people have an issue with it?
I won't be waiting for your answer, because there will never be one.

Chicken Timmy will be your new name!

Re: Girth Summit @ RfA
Look Timmy, another crazy person! You gonna tell them what you think of them? Put your big boy pants on and call that shit out?
And AFAIK the innuendo is well understood in the UK.
Course you aren't.Username is a bit of a concern. I think that a good administrator should take feedback into consideration and make changes if issues are identified, even if they are not required to do so. It seems to me that "girth" may not have sexual connotations in the UK but does elsewhere. Now that that has been identified, I think it would be responsible to step back, say "huh, didn't even consider that", and then change the name to something a bit more professional. This request will obviously pass, and the candidate will very likely be a fine admin, but I think this is something that the candidate should consider. And I don't think that this concern is trivial to the point of deserving the response it has previously been given. -- Ajraddatz (talk) 15:46, 24 October 2019 (UTC)

Re: Girth Summit @ RfA
Wikipediots. Priceless.
This soon to be Administrator thinks his unease at changing a username he admires and thinks of as his actual name, like a fucking mental case, is equivalent to the unease felt by people, especially women, who would be expected to treat him with deference and respect. Something he can weigh up, and find in his own favour. An issue that, despite him being the only one who values his name for those personal reasons, needs to see "significant" opposition before he countenances changing it.
What is that thing you Wikipediots love to think you have a good handle on? Indeed, the thing you expect your Administrators to be able to spot and deal with? False balance, I think you call it......
That guy who doesn't get it? Who sees no issue with this response. Already an Administrator. Of course. You can guess why he chose a name like bar keep.

This is what this whole thing is about. This is the real Wikipedia, spoken by another actual Administrator......
Wikipedia is a chill out room for lad's lads, people who think joking about the size of their dicks and what women want in their dicks, is meant to be part of their official process for selecting Admins (this is the literally the guy whose vote is a joke about dick size). You heard it from this horse's (ass) mouth.
---------
What say you Timmy?
Oh, I forgot, we're well past the point you tap out, right.....the part where you'd have to address an argument.
Don't you worry you poor little soldier. Just you scurry off to your chill out room and relax a little.
Really? You think it's normal that an Administrator would say this.....Change or not change I think Girth Summit's conduct in these discussions have shown his suitability and readiness to engage in sysop work and I'm sorry to see you feel different. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 22:53, 24 October 2019 (UTC)
It is exactly as simple as saying no problem.while I'm sensitive to the concerns, it's not as simple as saying 'sure, no problem', ......GirthSummit (blether) 17:46, 24 October 2019 (UTC)

And how's that working out for you, numbnuts? You're not even close to having made an encylopedia, and your community is widely seen as boorish, sexist, and otherwise generally off putting to wide sections of society. And therein lies the rub. We're not here as "professionals" .. we're here as volunteers, often sitting at home relaxing and adding to the sum of human knowledge as enjoyment. — Ched (talk) 21:56, 24 October 2019 (UTC)

Your argument is idiotic. The virtually zero traction given during the lengthy RFA debate to your thesis that the word "girth" is somehow an offensive gendered entendre demonstrates you are in the 98th percentile of wackiness.
Of course, all you do is stir shit and make propaganda, it's not like you are advancing a serious argument about a valid matter.
This is why nobody pays the slightest attention to your crowsputter.

You are not representing "nobody", only wiki Timmy boy!

Would only be true if the voters in that RfA were representative of the real world.
You know it isn't, I know it isn't, so we both just have to be satisfied with you being too chicken to admit it, because clearly, the reality is just too damn scary for you.
