It hardly needs pointing out, other than this "wish", not one word, literally not one, of this utter fucking garbage, comes from Wikipedia policy. Not one. But hey, what would Wikipedia be if its most respected Administrators actually cared about what a silly thing like policy says?

You know what they should care about? You know what Real Jimmy Wales would probably be most displeased to learn of.....Malik's supposed expertise includes all things Jewish. Because he's a Jew. Yes, that is what Wikipedia calls expertise. Despite this, an example of how he uses it, is to call an Administrator who blocked him for perfectly legitimate reasons, the "good German". Presumably because he is German, and because, as he has made it quite clear, he believes he is being persecuted by the Administration. Now you also know why Malik's enablers are happy to call the Administrators who enforce policy on him, "fascists".

Jimmy once blocked an Administrator for calling an editor a 'little shit". To make sure everyone knew that it was important to hold them to the highest standards. Fast forward to today, and we got this Administrator doing this, excusing the most disgusting of slurs as "combative", treated as if it is completely normal behaviour, indeed hailed as the best standard of Administrator they have.

This is what the "best" Administrators of Wikipedia look like today. Their idea of protecting someone from harassment, is to let them be an Ultra Asshole, as vile as it is possible to be, to the unfortunate people who haven't done anything to him except enforce Wikipedia policy.

If you were a Wikipedia Administrator and you weren't raised like Jim Heaphy was, would you lift a damn finger to protect such a person from harassment?

Strikes me as a wee bit fascist to say that an admin cannot be called corrupt. But Malik, youre helping certain people succeed here. The violation? Calling someone an anti-science, pseudoscience-pushing right-wing "journalist."

SkepticalRaptor's defence of course is that you can find reliable sources which support this view. Maybe not to the point it is inarguable, but enough to transition this from being an outright case of defamation and push it toward legitimate characterisation of a significant viewpoint. Their username explains why they landed where they did.

This makes me laugh, because the incident that triggered this thread, was Jimmy chiding Cullen for accusing a Wikipedia editor of "pursuing a crank agenda". Someone who, to my knowledge, has never been written about in such terms in reliable sources, but does use their real name to edit Wikipedia (and so is entitled to the full protection of BLP, even more so than the public figure being talked about above).

One of their best eh? Best at do as I say not as I do clearly. 'Twas ever thus......although only a rare few have taken their right to do so all the way to the very top.

So either one of their best has just wrongly blocked an editor for merely summarizing what Chapman had previously said about this BLP subject, or Chapman, one of the other one of their bests was running around on that page committing BLP violations and this one of their best did jack all about it, not then, and not now (since if they are violations, redaction is still in order at the very least, and a warning to Chapman, should he ever crawl out of his hole).
