They should really have used one of the "unsuitable username" canned message templates.

Feel free to tell the offending Administrator she fucked up. She is nothing if not receptive to feedback from banned users.

What's wrong with 'appears'. Someone with a trollish username might ALSO be there to annoy people and act as flamebait, but they could ALSO by there to build the encyclopedia. The desire to provoke other users isn't mutually exclusive from a desire to build an encyclopedia, which you could still do. In a perfect world, people wouldn't take the bait of responding to usernames like that and focus purely on edits. Perhaps those who do so are the ones who want to derail discussion instead of building.
