Greg Kohs has been WMF globally banned

As for Kohs, did he do something lately? It does seem a little strange that WMF acts out of the blue, but maybe there's a context I haven't come across.

I think they were waiting for WO to become the spent-force it is. The WMF always wanted to block Kohs. He had edited on Commons and Meta relatively recently.

Greg also hires third parties to edit occasionally. I know a couple of them, and they have requested anonymity. Not making much money for it anyway.

This "ban" is useless and does nothing to stop third-party paid editing. It's just petty insider bullshit; they know they are being petty; they continue to do it. And that is what will eventually run all Wikimedia projects into the ground.

No one will admit it openly because then some smug twat like Andy Mabbett, Orangemike or Smallbones will follow them around, shrieking "OUT DAMNED SPOT" and getting blocks applied for any/no reason. That is a seriously broken subculture. They openly encourage mental illness and displays thereof.

Mabbett is unbelievable. The Internet equivalent of a schizophrenic homeless man carrying signs protesting something unintelligible. And they let him participate as if he were a "pillar of the community". Because he's a "useful idiot".

I ran his blog post thru G-Translate - this happened on nl-WP. He was forced out by Natuur12, one of ni-WP's worst admins. Oscar Van Dillen was mentioned--he is a former WMF Trustee. Went to their Arbcom and was ignored. He showed up on Meta and argued with WMF insiders and was eternabanned. Just another pointless day on the Wiki-Idiot-Ranch.....
