Toxic Wikipedians
Re: Toxic Wikipedians
Encyclopedia, or fighting pit?A crucial thing to know about survival at today's en-wiki is that the community will not protect you against hostile insult. You either become tough, or you retire, or you get crushed emotionally, and I mean permanent damage. I continuously re-evaluate whether I'm tough enough to avoid retirement for another day, but I will not be crushed. And I will work hard not to respond to hostile insult in kind, per two wrongs don't make a right. ―Mandruss 05:27, 16 September 2019 (UTC)

Directed question, but the devil is in the details:
A fighting pit, where the hero fighters' reward is the illusion that they create "encyclopedic" content. Imagine an mma fighter, to fully experience the burlesque.
Mandruss, I respect your honesty and insight, in response to Jehochman's two-faced "I want to help".
