Wikipedia Administrator Boing! said Zebedee teams up with Wikipediocracy to threaten OberRanks
This was a real strange thread.
https://wikipediocracy.com/forum/viewto ... =8&t=11916
To summarise: Now banned user OberRanks messed with Wikipedia for reasons, and the Wikishitz are mad as hell at him. It evidently hasn't dawned on them that THEY ALONE are responsible for the harm done by people who take advantage of GAPING FLAWS in the Wikipedia model for reasons, such as the ability to get away with adding fake offline sources because Wikipedia is NOT AN ENCYCLOPEDIA and the dipshits spending hours obsessing over their watchlists are not EDITORS.
When faking a source is as easy as making up its details and hitting "submit", and when your chances of being discovered are entirely down to sheer luck, well, that's called a FEATURE.
Sort of like how semi-regularly producing toxic nappies is a feature of a baby. Unlike Wikipedia, babies serve a purpose to humanity, so we tolerate it. Unless they turn into Wikipedia editors, in which case, naturally, we should probably try to find a way to kill them in the womb.
As is sadly typical, there are a couple of utterly deranged nutjobs in the Wikipedia Administrator ranks who probably should have been terminated, who are particularly vexed about OberRanks, both coincidentally with the super professional soundiing usernames, Future Perfect at Sunrise, and Boing! said Zebedee. They're genuinely acting as if OberRanks has personally offended them, when in reality, all he has done is messed with a hobby website they are insanely addicted to.
Cut to the Wikipediocracy thread, where the insanity of Boing! is on full display. First thing to note, is how many times he says he doesn't wish OberRanks physical harm. Very unconvincing. But even if he means it, he repeats other vague threats that he really really really wants someone to do OberRanks some real world harm, if he doesn't stop messing with Wikipedia. Bizarrely of all, he thinks him saying that, will make OberRanks stop. Moron.
To educate those who maybe don't know, the sort of real world harm Boing! might be referring to, such as legal letters, is the sole domain of the legal owners of Wikipedia. If there is anyone on Wikipedia who is genuinely thinking about teaching OberRanks a lesson in some sort of personal capacity, they should rightfully be considered a clear and present danger to both the reputation and the finances of Wikipedia, and be banned by the legal owners, as a precaution.
And it is hard for me to say that, since it is clear from that thread that if someone does do that, then the prime suspect for who it might be who gave them the real life details of OberRanks so that they could carry out these ominous sounding threats, would be Boing! Since again, the very fact he feels the need to say, multiple times, that he doesn't want to give anyone OberRank's real world details, on a forum known for being inhabited by people who like to discover the real life details of their enemies so they can harass them, is rather unconvincing.
It seems a safe bet that if you PM Boing! via Wikipediocracy claiming to be someone who is in a position to do something about OberRanks, he is going to tell you who OberRanks is, and without making much effort to confirm that you are who you say you are and can do what you claim you can do. Which would be ironic.
These people, and by that I mean this sort of exceedingly long serving Administrators, are clearly mentally unbalanced. It's a fucking website. OberRanks didn't rape your moms, they didn't piss in your pool, and you are not a cop. The badge of your office isn't real. It's plastic. Fucking Mall Cops have both more RESPONSIBILITY and more POWER than your sorry bitch asses, and even they would look at this sort of thread and think, Jesus Christ, you fucking losers, and ask why you aren't simply following THE MANUAL.
The takeaway here is that, even though it is super obvious, and repeatedly drummed into their heads, that for ANY AND ALL SITUATIONS where a case of abuse of Wikipedia rises to the level of perhaps maybe needing to send some kind of official cease and desist or some other *real world* consequences, then your ONE AND ONLY JOB as a Wikipedia Administrator, is to pass the relevant details to ArbCom, and shut your fucking mouth, they simply cannot do it.
They want to discuss it, they want to be seen to be threatening people for harming what they see as their project, and on a scummy hive of iniquity like Wikipediocracy no less.
And they don't seem to mind that doing it allows people like me to point out how fucking insane they look, how mentally unbalanced, and therefore ask a genuine question - how the fuck are people like this, still Administrators?
The answer, as usual, is because scummy immoral people like Beeblebrox are members of the Arbitration Committee, the body that nominally ensures the Wikipedia Admin corps doesn't have any insane fuckers in it.
You would think the so called critics of Wikipediocracy would pick up on basic stuff like this and call it out when it is happening on their very doorstep, but you would be wrong.

Re: Wikipedia Administrator Boing! said Zebedee teams up with Wikipediocracy to threaten OberRanks
The feud between Future Perfect at Sunrise and Oberranks was absolutely legendary and lasted for about 10 years. Boing! showed up in the last year or so. Future, as it turned out, finally saw the light after he got in a bit of trouble from the ArbCom posting information about Oberranks's office on Wikipedia. Never thought I would say good things about Future Perfect (he is kind of a racist jerk) but he did back off after that and told some others online it wasn't the best idea to try and find out who Oberranks was in real life and there could be consequences for doing so.
Boing! was the opposite and only got emboldened by what Future had done and apparently launched a campaign to find out who Oberranks was and does appear to have tried to call various people trying to bring his hatred of Oberranks into the real world. There is a post somewhere on Wikipedia where Boing was warned by administrators that he could be blocked or banned if he started to post Oberranks identity on Wikipedia or if it was found out he had been calling that person's work place (which, by that point, Boing was in fact doing).

LINKS PLEASE. Do us all a favor and don't pretend we were all watching IRC or Discord arguments about some WP battle. We don't.
PS: the book wiki has an unflattering profile of Lukas "Future Perfect" Pietsch. Ask and I will post it.
And we already doxed Boing over here.

Yes, please post information about Dr. Future Perfect! I think I might have met him once in person actually many years ago. He was a teacher in Germany as I recall.ericbarbour wrote: ↑Fri Aug 19, 2022 8:16 pmPS: the book wiki has an unflattering profile of Lukas "Future Perfect" Pietsch. Ask and I will post it.

Re: Wikipedia Administrator Boing! said Zebedee teams up with Wikipediocracy to threaten OberRanks
It seems that Jenn can't be arsed to post the links. So I will cover what I can. (Yes, I would ALSO like to see information about Boing personally harassing Oberranks by phone. Such material is priceless.)
Oberranks used to be Husnock. From the book wiki notes about Abigail "Morwen" Brady, with some links left out to hopefully avoid their deletion:
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?ti ... d=95500890
But after a name change, Husnock just could not stay away.....
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia ... /OberRanks
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia ... #OberRanks
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia ... ring_RFC/U
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia ... ks/Archive
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia ... ge_uploads
There was also a raft of AFDs for articles Oberranks created, about WWII German/Nazi officials. Too many to list. All were deleted after Pietsch and "Boing! said Zebedee" raised a stink.
He was finally eternab& in 2018.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia ... ed_sources
Pietsch maintains his own obsessive list of Oberranks' "evil deeds".....
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Futu ... /OberRanks
And for a creamy-smooth PERFECT example of Pietsch's asshole attitude, here he is, last year, assuming that anyone editing WP from a US government agency (the National Archives, who I would THINK Wikipedia would like to be friendly with) is a sock of Oberranks and has to be chased off at all costs. Thus, any NARA employee editing from their IP range is EEEEEVIL. And the other admins, being mostly similar in assholery, support Pietsch's multiyear Crusade automatically. Does that cover it yet?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia ... ange_block
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia ... tion_again
And now I will have to add this bullshit to my Pietsch article. Which is posted below.

She maintained an obsessive list of Husnock's terrible "Wiki crimes", lol. (HEY WIKISHITS, DON'T BOTHER DELETING THIS, I TOOK ARCHIVES)The Husnock arbitration of December 2006 was classic Morwen, and one of the sleaziest backstabbings in Wikipedia history. She fought with Husnock over Star Trek article trivia. Husnock was a serving member of the US Navy, and apparently Abigail made a phony report of a death threat to the NCIS, in order to "get rid" of him. And it succeeded. "Less than 12 hours later an e-mail shows up in my real world account saying that NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) had received a report that a United States Naval Officer had threatened the life of a citizen of the United Kingdom on the internet and that they thought it was me as my real e-mail had been given (to clarify, my real e-mail address is buried away in my user page history but I don’t want to say where). This was cleared up rather quickly but again very upsetting. The next day I choose to leave Wikipedia." She was keeping an evidence page on all this, and did not deny making the NCIS report.

Re: Wikipedia Administrator Boing! said Zebedee teams up with Wikipediocracy to threaten OberRanks
OMG, I completely forgot about Abigail. Yes, she had a big problem with Oberranks and posted on Wikipedia that he was going to kill her. There was also a saga about an account called CamelCommodore which she mentions on her page that you linked. She and others apparently immediately assumed this account was a sockpuppet, and somewhere deep on Wikipedia there are investigations of this. When it came out the account was operating hundreds of miles away from where Oberranks allegedly lived, and it was impossible to have been him, Abigail didn't let up and continued to promote the idea that Camel Commodore and Oberranks were the same person. Back then I was dating the man who operated the account Zscout370 and he deleted the CamelCommodore account after he figured out it was someone on another military base, in another country from where Oberranks was, just stirring up s**t on Wikipedia on purpose. This was also at the same time someone named Durin was going after OberRanks also - that guy did seem to make a lot of enemies - before Durin left Wikipedia due to problems with other people. Finally, there was someone named Pahuskahey - again, an account hundreds of miles away in a different country, who had the bad luck to show up during all of this, defended OberRanks in some way and edited the same articles, and was hounded off the site. Zscout370 put a stop to some of that after he determined it was a different person and I think stopped people from filling Pahuskahey's page with ban notices and sockpuppet tags.ericbarbour wrote: ↑Fri Aug 26, 2022 10:52 pmShe maintained an obsessive list of Husnock's terrible "Wiki crimes", lol. Here's the best I could do trying to find those posts from last years. It looks like the smoking gun post, where Boing! actually states that he knows who Oberranks is and apparently offers to contact his employer and tell on him, was redacted by the Wikipedia powers. The posts that follow are a rare show of sanity from Future Perfect at Sunrise where he kinda suggests backing off the idea then at the end of the thread an administrator told Boing! that what he was doing was a very bad idea.badmachine wrote: ↑Fri Aug 26, 2022 9:18 pmplease elaborateJennsaurus wrote: ↑Thu Aug 18, 2022 3:46 amBoing was warned by administrators that he could be blocked or banned if he started to post Oberranks identity on Wikipedia or if it was found out he had been calling that person's work place (which, by that point, Boing was in fact doing).
