Has anyone ever provided independent corroboration for Patrick Byrne's claim that her boyfriend died in the Lockerbie bombing? Please correct me if I'm wrong, but this seems to be a rough timeline of her life:

- Born in Canada and raised in Scotland as Sarah Linda (perhaps Linda Sarah) McEwan around 1962 or 63; one or both of her parents may have been Canadian
- Attends King's College (Cambridge) in the mid-to-late 80s; may have dated Patrick Byrne
- Graduates and gets a job as a journalist; perhaps in broadcast journalism; if so, there should be archival video somewhere out there of her doing a television presentation, likely under her McEwan maiden name
- Gets involved in the Lockerbie investigation which we've rehashed many times over the years
- Loses her job and, in her own words, worked as an English teacher in mainland Europe for a few years (likely 1992-2002) while still trying to be involved in the Lockerbie investigation; She has also hinted that she may have been an intelligence agent while she was traveling around Europe
- She may have gotten married during this time to someone named "Mack" she met during her travels in Europe
- Shows up in Canada in 2002
- Starts editing Wikipedia in 2004

Thank you. Finally, some "clarity". And not a word about UK spy agencies, Lockerbie, ABC or Pierre Salinger. As expected.

There is still no word about the "Linda Mack" pseudonym, which was constantly used, at least among acquaintances, when she was at Cambridge and also when she was working for Pierre Salinger at ABC News in London. Am I correct in assuming that these three little pics of her came from her Gmail accounts? I think I got them from Erik. The larger pic is from her obituary.

My gut instinct is that once she got locked out of her office at ABC News in London, she sort of had nothing to do in Britain. Maybe she had a Masters degree, but it doesn't sound like she was in a PhD program. The Lockerbie bombing continued to be her sole obsession, because she lost a friend on that plane.

At that point she dropped the Linda Mack pseudonym and went with Sarah Linda Elizabeth McEwan, or Sarah Linda Elizabeth Gibb, and fled to Canada. "Linda Mack" was used for her MI5 work based in Britain. Salinger may have figured out that his ABC London office was in trouble by then, and was frustrated because the spooks were flooding the media with an alternate scenario. British spooks seized his files at ABC and the legal fight cost ABC big bucks.

That would explain why John Cooley confessed the ABC London office situation to me just hours before Linda Mack read on Wikipediareview that I had located Cooley in Greece. She called Cooley and read the riot act to him. But before Mack called, he had already sent me a nice, long email.

Cooley was totally freaked out after that. In emails to me, he begged me not to use what he had told me. I just ignored him; the cat was already out of the bag and sleeping it off on Wikipediareview.

NYT article nailed it:
But the big question that hung over the meeting was whether the world could ever work together to tackle climate change and emissions of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide.
There is no solution to climate change or cheap fossil fuel. (Elon Musk was at the Island too.) Moreover, there are too many people on this planet.

I found them on Encyclopedia Dramatica of all places. They could have been used as account portraits. Nice to finally know that was really her. Wondered if we were being bullshitted by someone.

And now I'm starting to wonder about the husband, Steven Gibb of Saskatoon. Is he this artist?

Chances are good:
After a long career as a journalist, including 17 years as editor-in-chief of The StarPhoenix in Saskatoon, he has now expanded his focus from the world of words to that of the visual arts, including painting and photography.
Steve continues to live in Saskatoon with wife Sarah.
So she wasn't even living in Swalwell, as we had been repeatedly told. (Daniel mentioned that the only known IP address she used was in Saskatoon.) And Gibb was her editor at the local newspaper. (I've been repeatedly informed "her husband" was an MI5 employee.) But oddly enough there is NO mention of either of them on the present-day Star Phoenix website. Not even her obit. That is classic SlimVirgin.

I'm going to wait about 30 days, and then contact Mr. Gibb. My now-deleted Wikipedia bio is on archive.org, which will give me some credibility. If he doesn't recognize the name "Linda Mack" or doesn't know or care about the plane going down in Lockerbie, then we have the wrong husband. Meanwhile, anyone else who feels inclined to contact him should do so -- the more the merrier!

Chances are better than good. Isn't this Slim's poodle in the picture?

Yes, both dogs belong to Steve and Sarah, as of November 2004.

It figures that the very first file she uploaded was a pic of her dogs. Followed by pics related to Lockerbie, animal rights, and Islamic extremism. Talk about a one-track mind.

Imagine the hellstorm if this had been discovered back in 2007. I'm now suspicious that Swalwell was just a stupid attempt to deflect attention by WP critics (and you!) from what Sarah was actually doing in real life. Perhaps Swalwell was simply Steve Gibb's childhood home and he maintains a house there. All those idiotic ragey attempts by Crum375, Doc glasgow, and other Slim-Friends look even more comically stupid now.
