Specifico doxes all over himself

Post by wexter » Tue Aug 02, 2022 11:41 pm

"Specifico" keeps on showing up here and there - this time he was seen at the kerfuffle with the definition of "Recession"
The guy is a typical Wikipedia pit -bull with an agenda he wears on his shirtsleeves.
He seems to be able to do whatever he wants; the Rules of Wikipedia are for you not him.
He gets on the bad boy list here and there and escapes ramifications most every time.
How do lunatics like this guy accumulate mojo on Wikipedia?

His Honeypot - and he admits to being totally biased btw

Recession, Ron DeSantis, and Trump, Hunter Biden, Prager University, Hunter Biden Laptop, January 6th, Paul Krugman, Glenn Greenwald, Peter Schiff, Fuel inflation, Fiat Money

Specifico claims to be an economist... in one of his many adversarial rants with other users,he seems to be the king of personal attacks as folks try to reason with him. It looks like he lives in one of the most depressed towns in the United States, which claims to be the "duck capital of the world" and runs a microscopic radio station KWAK FM that does not generate much revenue. He "feels" like a very sad guy... a sad sack, loser.

Typically, in real life, hardcore Wikipedia maniacs are not worth the time of day, or the air they breathe, on Wikipedia they get to be "king" of the detritus pile.

The fellow seems to have doxed all over himself - by disclosing his business operations

SPECIFICO talk 23:14, 30 May 2014 (UTC)

And here he is easily identified;

SPECIFICO (talk · contribs) is topic-banned from editing articles and other pages relating to the Ludwig von Mises Institute or persons associated with it, either living or deceased. This topic-ban does not extend to articles concerning Austrian economics but not related to the Ludwig von Mises Institute; however, should SPECIFICO edit problematically in the broader area, the topic-ban may be broadened if necessary through the discretionary sanctions. SPECIFICO may request the lifting or modification of this topic-ban not less than one year from the close of this case.

Another interesting find (an early Wikipedia bot) to populate towns cities etc. with connections to Jimbo, crashed servers, and exponential growth of Wikipedia. I thought perhaps Specifico had created the entry for his podunk town, but it was a bot that scraped the US census in 2002.

October 2002 – Derek Ramsey increased the number of Wikipedia articles by about 40% with the creation of a bot called Rambot that generated 33,832 Wikipedia stub articles from October 19 to 25 for every missing county, town, city, and village in the US, based on free information from the United States Census of 2000.[21] In The Wikipedia Revolution, Andrew Lih called it "the most controversial move in Wikipedia history".[21]
