All correct. Jimbo set the tone after Larry was pushed out--and Jimbo wanted BAD people in charge. He got them.
Wanna be an administrator, in a SERIOUS way? Move to London and befriend Jimmy. Suck his little ego deep and hard for a couple of years and he'll hand great power over to you (on that miserable website only, albeit). He did it many, many times before.
Someday historians will look back at WP history and be shocked that Jimbo gave admin power to the likes of Cunctator, Erik Moeller, David Gerard, and Fred Bauder. I would not trust those clowns to replace a light bulb, much less run a web project......
