Cullen328 ghost writes Ken Rosenfeld's Wikipedia biography

Post by ChaosMeRee » Mon Oct 30, 2023 10:32 am

The chuckleheads of Wikipediocracy are completely baffled as to why Ken Rosenfeld has released a triumphant press release announcing his forthcoming Wikipedia biography.

The answer to this mystery is of course rather obvious. Trusted Wikipedia Administrator Cullen328 was recently reluctantly persuaded to reveal to his so called community peers that he has for some time been engaged in a secret side hustle, wherein he charges $60 an hour to advise clients who wish to engage with Wikipedia.

Naturally, the only engagement with Wikipedia anyone would ever pay $60 an hour for, would be to get a Wikipedia article about them, their business or their product. This well explains why Cullen328 as a matter of course offers his clients complete and total confidentiality, and has thus far absolutely refused to do anything to reassure people that he is acting in the best interest of Wikipedia rather than his own wallet. As we all know from countless scandals, nothing corrupts a high ranking highly trusted Wikipedian like the mighty dollar.

Cullen328 asks, nay demands, that the community simply trusts him that he has done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG. Yeah, OK.

Offering advice detailed enough and with such authority that it could be said Cullen328 has effectively ghost written a draft of a Wikipedia biography for Ken Rosenfeld sounds like a plausible answer to this mystery to me. And that definitely sounds like a bad thing for Wikipedia. A definite loophole around the prohibition against editing for pay without a full and complete disclosure (who, what, where and when).

Do we absolutely know that Rosenberg is one of Cullen328's clients and that this is the specific service he provides? No. But are you stupid enough to think that nothing bad can come from highly trusted Wikipedians self certifying their own purity of mind and deeds? Hopefully not.

Maybe it would be different if it could honestly be said Cullen328 is an absolute model Wikipedian and Administrator, and this has been evident in his every waking hour on the site. You only need to see how easily he loses his temper, and as seen in this case, arrogantly dismisses the legitimate concerns of his peers in a fit of pique (how dare you question my integrity!?!), to know you cannot.

He is trusted for the same reason people like Drmies and Bishonen and all ther other bully boy assholes are trusted. Their experience only serves to inform them how to break the rules and get away with it, and they wisely make sure that most of the time at least that rule breaking is nominally done in the best interests of Wikipedia (as in, keep outsiders out and maintain the social hierarchy within). And when in doubt, they of course get to define what is best for Wikipedia, simpletons like Hemiauchenia get absolutely no say in it whatsoever.

Stay confused little buddy. It's cute.
