When I think of bad admins, two names that come to mind are Doug Weller and Bishonen. Both of them think a lot more of themselves than they should, and both of them clearly get an adrenaline rush from the "power" of being an admin - a power that they have a tendency to use erratically and in a petty manner.

As far as I can tell, Bishonen has created a sort of cult following. There is a group of Wikipedians who are such fans of her that it's creepy.

Doug Weller used to snidely lecture me about modern politics - and in the process, betrayed himself as an amateur with no more than a basic layman's grasp on the world.

It's like if I, a scientific layman, tried to haughtily and condescendingly lecture a PhD in astrophysics about how physics "really works". He's a goofball who has no business being in charge of anything.

one could write a whole book about Bishonen's stupidity. Unfortunately she and Giano are joined at the hip, and since Giano has been scarce since 2022, that fun little coupling might be over.

I am not surprised. I often see Bishonen and Doug Weller popping up in the same discussions, too. They seem to be the self-appointed civility police, which is funny given that they are two of the least civil administrators I've ever come across.

Bishonen was such a bitch to me one time, threatening to block me for the silliest of reasons, that I actually called her out on it, publicly - and she dropped it and never spoke to me again. Standing up to bullies does work sometimes, even on Wikipedia.
