Finally this over zealous, abusive asshole, who blocks users and makes range blocks for the most trivial things with no warning, has been brought to book and
been desysopped.
Of course he
has reapplied and with other equally obnoxious administrators such as Drmies, supporting, probably will be reinstated, but at least he is being held to some sought of account.

In the end it's better if they are finally subjected to major external scrutinies such as those from the US Congress and so on.

as you can see from the histories (those that haven't been deleted yet!), Graham87 (for the past few years anyway) was a classic abusive patroller and gnome who wrote very little raw content. VERY long history on WP, since 2005. Almost TWENTY YEARS. Being blind or otherwise disabled doesn't seem to make any difference when it comes to power abuse. If anything, the nabobs were more likely to look the other way when Graham banned somebody for weird/stupid reasons, because "look, the poor bastard is blind and has to use screen readers to edit, feel sorry for him etc".
He got the bits in 2007. Admin for seventeen years. Since other abusive patrollers are in no danger of being desysopped like this, I can only conclude that he did something that infuriated someone more powerful. Very rare for an admin with such a long history on WP.
However....I've NEVER seen such a short period between someone being tossed "for cause", and then starting a new RFA. Usually they would wait at least a few months. This clown-hat waited SIX DAYS. Might be a record, apart from some really sleazy desysops that were reversed after a squabble. Note that Harry Mitchell nominated his second RFA. Also note that it was opened FOUR DAYS AGO, and absolutely NO ONE has posted a vote. Some really questionable shit is going on here, off-wiki and probably involving dirty tricks and epic amounts of ass-licking and abuse.
Wikipedia DOES NOT NEED fools like Graham87. It has too many "content janitors" already. But that's beside the point--it's a dysfunctional cult family and NOT an "encyclopedia". Good content there is still a blind accident. (joke)

There is a
new Administrator recall process that results in an admin being desyopped if a petition gains 25 signatures. Appears this is the first time it has been used..
A couple of days and it is running at about 45/55. Even if he regains the admin tools, that over 100 editors think he should be desyopped says something. Some of the support comments shows there are a lot of fools out there.
He is promising not to make any blocks if he is reinstated, yet anybody with an ounce of intelligence can see that won't happen. So then he will be have to be desyopped again. And hopefully that will be the end of this dreadful admin for once and for all.

With his application unlikely to be successful having only attained 45% support, Graham 87 has
withdrawn his nomination, four days before it was due to close. I always thought he was a dreadful admin, but looking at some of the horrific examples of his abusive activity, he should not have only been desysopped but given a total site ban.
Dishonest to the end, and so he could quietly try and reapply in the future without scrutiny, he tried to make out that he had
resigned voluntarily. But he was caught out, and his reason for no longer being an admin amended to reflect that he had the tools
taken from him.
Some of his supporters made reference to what a great admin was referring to his
self promoting timeline. Strangely no mention of him being desysopped.

Don't "worry".....he will wait several months and try again. Probably being coached by Mitchell and other been-there-too-long types who know how to "play the system".
This fuckheaded comment really pisses me off.
Both of the first two recall petitions are of the "abyss gazes back" genre: defending the project against the faeculant influx of SEO spam, LLM slop, promo autobios, et alia induces cynicism and corrodes AGF. Some of Graham's admin actions were heavy-handed. He promises to do better, and I see no reason not to take him at his word.
HEY ASSHOLE: If you hate "SEO spam" and "promo autobios" so much, why aren't you demanding that Jonathan Hochman get the hell off WP?? Because he runs his own SEO company, has made uncounted thousands of edits for pay, has done so since 2005, and is still treated like one of Wikipedia's little magical insider dukes.
Have some proof, ya bastids. From TEN YEARS AGO. He removed some COI edits, and went back on his merry way.

Remember, this is a guy who resigned adminship in 2022 after
being spanked by Arbcom over the "Warsaw concentration camp" squabble. But he's still editing (or "
editing"?) the Signpost. As if he were still "powerful" or whatever. Kvetch and tummel for us, Johnny.
