Dr. Blofeld
Dr. Blofeld
Announced one of his regular retirements recently. Cue the usual crying. Unfortunately for Blofeld, this may end up being an enforced retirement, since Fram seems to have uncovered evidence that in his early editing career, he may have been a serial copyright violator, a la Richard Norton.

I'm sure this has come up before, but can't recall where.

Re: Dr. Blofeld
Lol, he unretired just to basically tell Fram to go to hell. All the usual excuses - he was young, naive, inexperienced, it was a long time ago. Blah blah blah. Absolutely no indication he wants to or even cares to help clean up any violations he may have left lying around. And why would he, this is the culture they have created. It's someone else's problem, so leave Britney alone!

Re: Dr. Blofeld
I hope the delete every article he created and since this ended with another high output editor retiring in disgust, largely due to Fram, I see that as a win for the Hasten the day crowd.
I have often wondered if Fram is a positive editor or if they are really just trying to destroy Wikipedia from the inside.

They've now moved on to the important issue of whether the title of the AN report is appropriate.

It is so like the entrenched and entitled Wikipedians to demand to be treated nicely even when it has been shown they fucked up, and have a moral and indeed legal duty to cooperate in the cleanup operation. If only the real victims of Wikipedia were given such leeway, rather than being forced to prostrate themselves and speak in hushed respectful tones before the keepers of the keys.
I wonder if they realise they're talking about the same guy who is a veritable poster boy for the nasty uncooperative nature of the average highly strung Wikipedian."Our most prolific article creator is (or was) a copyright violator..." has the appearance of being a personal attack rather than a title that will get cooperation. Asking Dr B to take part in his own show trial in a tone that make him feel like "the accused" creates a very bad smell. Lynch mobs and witch hunts are bad examples in human history that we do not need to clone. Victuallers (talk) 09:48, 4 March 2018 (UTC)

Re: Dr. Blofeld
Gonna park this here. Wouldn't want Fram being able to backtrack if this goes nuclear.....
Don't hide very real problems under some wishy-washy title. He was a serial copyright violator who only reduced this once Corensearchbot came around, and even then he continued with copyvio translations and the like. This happened when he was here for a few years already and had created thousands of articles; not just in his first few edits. Fram (talk) 10:47, 4 March 2018 (UTC)

Re: Dr. Blofeld
Lol, I caught Blofeld (powerword James J Anderson) doing paid editing back in 2011, so this is nothing new.
Re: Dr. Blofeld
Christmas has come early.

This is rapidly spinning up into a huge fight, and could yet see Fram run through the ArbComScope for his abrasive admin style, Blofeld in trouble for both his copyright violations and his approach to those trying to investigate them (which has already risen to major personal attacks, harassment and baseless revenge driven counter-accusations), and finally, something that is well overdue, a proper examination of the often substandard way Ritchie333 conducts himself, namely with scant regard to policy and impartiality. He's corrupt, basically.

Hello Mr Sashi. I hope you're well.
I always felt -- pretty much from the beginning -- that there was something profoundly wrong with Blofeld. Initially I thought he was schizophrenic (possibly a paranoid schizophrenic), then I began to realize he's a devious and very dishonest autistic. As I wrote on WR, he seems to be an almost textbook-perfect example of Aspergers Syndrome.
He has no discernible talent, has engaged in paid editing, and should have been blocked immediately after the McCann incident.
Anyway, I assume you're now in Canada rather than Singapore, but wherever you are, have a nice day. For the record, I'm now back in BKK.
