American democracy just died this week
all "democracies" end. mostly because they are simply tyranny hidden behind a ballot box. look at what America is doing in the world and ask yourself whether these things are popular:
1) infinity illegal immigrants
2) providing weapons to a bunch of Satanists so they can massacre Christians and Moslems
3) war in Europe
4) provocations in the South China Sea
5) child trannies
6) infant circumcision/mutilation
7) taxes for abortion aka infanticide

if Americans truly dig this shit then American "democracy" deserves to die. anyway every nation has a term and it seems like ours is up. thank God.

All EMPIRES end. Everyone wanting to talk about this should read (and forgive me for bringing this up again) John Glubb's "Fate of Empires" paper from 1976. He was a crusty old empire-maintainer himself so I have to assume he knew a little bit of what he was talking about.

https://people.uncw.edu/kozloffm/glubb.pdf

The only major outlier was first and second dynasty ancient Egypt. Glubb doesn't even try to discuss that. And pre-Roman Greece had a good functional democracy--and fell apart anyway.

Marianne Williamson has re-entered the race for the third time starting a few days ago.
https://www.huffpost.com/entry/marianne ... bf9771e6f1

Millions of people, including myself, think she would be a great replacement for Biden if the media could go with a "love Trumps hate" Williamson campaign spree to the degree they've been calling for candidates to drop out. That is, dozens of articles and multiple hours of brainwashing per day.

She had performed #2 in votes in the Dem primary, which literally every media outlet is trying their hardest to make voters forget, including some liberal media like the Daily Show.

She actually performed relatively decent in my county and surrounding ones considering how shut out she was from the national conversation. I think she would be polling better than Trump among the general population had she been the Dem front-runner and had the media been as purposefully blind to her issues as they were to Biden before his debate. As, at least in my mind, she was clearly more qualified than Biden for this job.

The fact engaged Democrats are acting like Biden's mental decline was a """"surprise"""" on June 28th is on its own ridiculous. Combine that with them trying to memory-hole Williamson as the second in votes, shows they might not be particularly honest about this election, despite a lurch to be more honest on the surface. And then combine that with the corporate media proposing no alternative to Biden, while calling for BIden to drop out. This whole thing feels dishonest, and i don't know where their true motives lie.

I have a number of theories though as to why the corporate media seems more interested in blowing this election up in a sea of negativity at the first major opportunity rather than proposing positive, rational alternatives:

- Media elites openly preferred Trump to Clinton in 2016, often citing falling revenues as reasons for selfishly wanting Trump to win, this might be a factor here in 2024.
- CNN's 2016 chief executive was thrilled about the 2016 Trump campaign, to the point of calling Trump "the Boss" in private, trying to set up a talk show for Trump and airing hours of his campaign events. It's not implausible that Mark Thompson or some other management at CNN is somewhat similar to his predecessor, Zucker, in that respect. The split-screen in the first debate was clearly something they knew would hurt Biden.
- Corporate and legacy media corporate management as a whole need chaos and strife to keep from going under. They always need some new thing to make America constantly fearful over. This includes perhaps yet again preferring a headline-grabbing, anxiety-provoking person to win the presidency to keep from drowning . Biden is not that person.

But lets assume for some reason the media decided to present Williamson as the natural democratically determined follow-up to Biden after a Biden drop-out. Lets also assume she won the nomination and a news agency gave her a debate stage with Trump.

Her oratory skill are just fine, and probably better than Trump. She would be preaching love and peace, while Trump preaching hatred and lies.

If after that the American public chose Trump... That would be a proof positive, democratic confirmation of a near-majority psychopathic mentality in the United States. That would also be clear to the rest of the world, who at that point would hopefully start withdrawing trade from the United States and set some other liberal democratic country as the new economic powerhouse.

This crisis of confidence in re-running past Democratic Party politicians should have been obvious to Democatic primary voters when Democratic youth preferring other Dem candidates, small third parties or "none of the above" were raiding the 2016 primary, protesting *within the building, including as delegates*, and mugging the camera.

Since then, has there even been an in person national nomination? What would be the reason for a virtual nomation this year rather than in peron? Last I heard they wanted to nominate via zoom and then do a fake convention IRL later.

Honestly though, this is the fault of 80% of Democratic and Republican primary voters imho. Not the fault of Trump, nor the fault of Biden.

Both major parties are now locking their candidates away from the public. Trump behind bullet-proof glass (lol) and Harris behind a huge media barrier. This might be unprecedented tbh.

Two dying parties so unpopular they have to physically shield their presidential candidates from the general public.

Also I noticed Trump's team changed his platform on his website to something only a few sentences long from the previous pro-war-on-drugs and muh Mexicans rambling. Now it also just links to the Republican Platform, which Trump helped write. Hariss' site doesn't have a platform and her candidacy is basically just mystery meat but she is running on some vague statements like ending price gouging.

This will be the 7th boomer presidential term, or 28 years of rule across 36 years, granted dictatorial powers by other boomers. Their generation is only 18 birth years.

Not sure if Gen X would be worse or not because people chose silent generation (best generation) over them last time. Gen X makes up Trump's largest support though, so that sucks.

The presidential race is a farce. American democracy 'died' when the federal reserve act passed.

One can only presume that most Americans do not care for most of these things, if they aren't ignorant of them. Personally I wouldn't vote for a candidate unless they're promising currency reform and humane foreign policy (or at least non-intervention), at minimum. My ideal candidate would also favor stronger border security, less gun control and various other things. The first two points are the most important but presently neither of the two main parties support them. In fact both parties comprise a singular fraud. Hell, 46 out of 48 democratic senators voted in favor of the foreign aid package which passed back in April and included (among other things) fifteen billion dollars in aid for Israel, despite the pending case against them for war crimes and violations of the genocide convention. Shows you how much they really care for social justice. Neither R nor D will give Americans liberty and justice and there's no point in voting for either if you value western principles and possess at least a modicum of self-respect.

Donald Trump massively outperformed expectations, winning every battleground state, and surpassing Harris' vote margin in Pennsylvania by more than all third parties combined as of the 6th.

The Kamala Harris campaign, campaigning primarily on abortion, was a historic loss, outspending Trump by almost 4x and raising over a billion dollars from corporations, billionaires, millionaires, and everyday people.

Jill Stein came in third, marking the first time in 24 years the Green Party came in third place, overtaking a Libertarian Party which came in 5th place. RFK Jr came in 4th, despite dropping out. RFK Jr. endorsed Trump before votes were cast in order to have a cabinet position in Trump's white house, and if he is successful, could have been one of the most shrewd political decisions in recent memory.

Harris' poll numbers started slipping continuously almost directly after a vice presidential debate, after her pick Tim Walz appeared agitated, confused, and ignorant on important issues. And who's main strategy was to simply call his opponents 'weird' before his miserable debate performance.
