Remember not to mix him up with two far more prominent Tim Hardcastles. "Our" Tim is an unimportant nebbish geologist who lived in Las Vegas last time I checked.

Tim's got a book on Wikibooks. Not sure anyone ever reads it.....posted with his "Actualist" account.

I thought he lives in france.
That landscape photo he prominently shows off on his user page has been taken in France, and a userbox sugests that he has some french language knowledge.
Yet he made ZERO edits on frwiki!

Looking at
his contributions, it appears as if Bbb23 comes back repeatedly to
fix something.
But Bbb23 retiring imminently after losing CheckUser powers suggests that he only was at Wikipedia for the
perception of social power, lesser for acting towards Wikipedia's proclaimed purposes.
Once he lost the social power that his ego thrived on, he lost his only source of motivation, thus retired.

IMO most of the active administrators today are not much different. Patrollers, deletionists, assholes just there to step on someone.

Bet he makes a comeback to do some token admin functions just before his admin privileges expire. Have taken great delight in undoing some of his posts. What a tosser.

Then we can expect him returning in June 2021. Or maybe a month earlier.
That administrator privilege expiration was set up because, as far as I know, an administrator's account who was inactive since 2005 was compromised (hacked into) in 2011, after six years of inactivity.
