Several WMF servers fail resulting in XTools, GUC, and other tools down for over a week

A bunch of their servers failed resulting in severe data loss and downtime. They are scrambling to rebuild the data and get the tools back online.
Other wikis have problems because of this too.
WMF is fractally incompetent.
