News: High-Level Iranian Spy Ring Busted in Washington - The trail that leads from Tehran to D.C. passes directly through the offices of Robert Malley and the International Crisis Group
The Crisis Group is George Soros and his partners.
A couple of Wikipedia advisory board members were part of Soros's Open Society Institute.
Another one of them is Craig Newmark who financed the Aspen Commission on Information Disorder, the government campaign to ban "misinformation" from the internet.

The WMF "Advisory Board" was, frankly, a pathetic joke. A magnet for suck-ups and asslicks who wanted to be "rich and powerful" and were willing to network with ANYONE to get there. Including Jimbo The Tiny Dictator and his shithead minions. Probably inevitable it would also contain some Soros suckups. Someone needs to write an HONEST history of Newmark's business dealings. One of the sleaziest people in San Francisco, yet people continue to kiss his ass and tell him what a "genius" he is. Craigslist would not have succeeded if they hadn't been running adult-services ads.
I still wonder if they quietly sunsetted the "Advisory Board", because they realized how embarrassing it had become. And how useless too--I don't see any signs they really helped the WMF in substantial ways, other than "networking" so they could troll for more large donors. They are making so damn much money now, automatically and every year, they don't need those old-timey major donors.
