More background at Conservapedia: The Daniel Brandt ControversyHe soon found an ally in "SlimVirgin", an editor that joined shortly after Chip in late 2004. Their politics were similar, and SlimVirgin quickly learned that the way to win debates at Wikipedia is not by presenting a reasoned argument, but by "gaming the system": one must familiarize oneself with the rules, loudly accuse one's opponent of violating them, and then get the opponent banned -- problem solved. SlimVirgin was so successful at playing this game that she quickly became an administrator or "admin," giving her the power to ban political opponents herself.
Meanwhile, Chip also had something to offer to this symbiotic relationship. Wikipedia rules require that all opinions inserted into the articles must come from a previously published source. Voil! Chip can write anything he likes, post it at the website of Political Research Associates, and it has been published! Suddenly Chip's writings were in demand, if not in the real world, at least in the nerd-obsessive battleground of Wikipedia.
Chip Berlet built a career writing in various far-left revolutionary publications, including Guardian (NY) of New York, founded by KGB agent Cedric Belfrage, whose writers at times included KGB operatives Anna Louise Strong, Agnes Smedley, and Wilfred Burchett.

The WikiMedia Foundation retained Berlet - despite his penchant for excess, to deal with the ceaseless barrage of idiosyncratic musings from the followers of Lyndon LaRouche- until July 2008 when Berlet requested that his account be deleted, and he appeared to stop editing Wikipedia
While this was happening, Chip Berlett was on the steering committee of the National Committee Against Repressive Legislation with Hussein Ibish, "a veteran pro-terrorist and anti-Israel activist" whose father founded the Harvard Islamic Society "that raised money for Islamic terrorists murdering Jews". So it looks like Islamic terrorists hijacked Wikipedia so long ago while nobody was paying attention and it never made the news.
Chip Berlet is accused of being one of the founding members of Antifa along with Michael Novick of the Weather Underground. So all of those scumbags may have deep links to Islamic terrorism.
