An example of WIkipedians trying to "dox" someone
And failing.....
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catturd
A notorious and much-hated conservative pro-Trump Twitter account. Been there since 2018 so the sudden interest by WP is "strange". He's funnier than most right-wing tweeters, who tend to be grim and humorless Hunter-Biden-omg-shriekers (looking at you, Posobiec), so more people are entertained by Catturd antics. A small group of Wikitards (well, TWO of them actually, Swinxy and CastJared) tried like HELL to profile Catturd's owner PUBLICLY. This article was started in February and is only 4 months old. Based mostly on comments Catturd made on Twitter--because they have very little hard info otherwise. Idiots.
And for extra effect: last year Swinxy also created Keffals, the article about a world-class transgender kook. Perhaps the queen of trans kooks. Keffals is NEVER guilty of anything "bad". Swinxy has nothing negative to report about Keffals, who IMO is just as crazy as the KiwiFarms incel nuts she's constantly fighting with. A regular St. Sebastian in a skirt and kitty ears. (If you MUST read more about that, we have a KiwiFarms thread in the members-only section.)
And if that's not disgusting enough, David "Dime Store Nosferatu" Gerard (the fountainhead of so much that is toxic about Wikipedia) magically became "notable enough" last month to get his own Wikipedia BLP. Guerillero tried to AFD it, and failed. It was closed KEEP......by Swinxy. As usual, Gerard is a saint, pure as the driven snow.
The creator of Gerard's article, Maine Lobster, was blocked two months prior, for fighting with people on noticeboards. Mysteriously, Maine Lobster was unblocked long enough to write a stupid biography of David Gerard, and then disappeared. Why? Explain THAT if you can.....after that, an account that normally writes obsessively about mountain climbing, Aszx5000, started grinding on Gerard for precisely ONE DAY (June 10). OCD victim, or paid editor?
I'm starting to wonder if Swinxy is a sockpuppet or meatpuppet "belonging" to someone we have encountered before. They clearly have a supply of foolish young people who fell for the Wiki-ganda and can be suckered into generating special content "on command".

Interesting compared to YouTuber/Online Personality Jenny Nicholson who requested her page be deleted and the admins just listen to her?

Being stalked by enemies is the ONE thing that really gets attention from insiders. People who are marginally notable automatically get special treatment of this type if they claim stalkers have been harassing them. It's the Most Terrible Wiki Crime of all. Because so many of the little bastards love making abusive (or paid) content anonymously.Ram24 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 10:30 amInteresting compared to YouTuber/Online Personality Jenny Nicholson who requested her page be deleted and the admins just listen to her?

I felt it was because Jenny is in the woke cult so they went easy on her. Catturd is in the conservative group, so he gets the DOX treatment.

At this point, looking at the ANI lawsuit debacle I think that Wikipedia's collapse may look like the rapid fall of Afghanistan to Taliban.

When we were assembling the book wiki, I gave up counting the examples of people like David Gerard and Guy Chapman doxing people they hated. Too many, and some of them were oversighted anyway....badmachine wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 2:29 pmim not sure if FT2 threatening the poethorde counts as doxing but it was still slimy.
