Now dragged to arbitration.

She posted an "apology":
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:AlisonW/ArbCom
For background information: Alison Wheeler is a longtime insider who normally keeps a very low profile. She was dragged into WP by David Gerard, helped to run his absurd Wipipedia "fetish site", and was made an admin TWICE "by fiat" with no community input. Correct: she is one of those extra-special insiders who possessed TWO administration accounts at once. Her long-term connections to Gerard ALONE make her judgment questionable.
Book Wiki time.
Yes kiddies: Wikipedia is THIS corrupt. Yes, I know this is dated info. The full story was so disgusting, Ed and I didn't even bother to gather more info about Alison's Wikipedia history after 2008. She is a David Gerard enabler and supporter PERIOD and has done very little to help Wikipedia itself. Her editing history after 2010 is extremely paltry. And she was a principal in the first incarnation of Wikimedia UK, which was a pathetic money-losing disaster. She should have been desysopped years ago.Alison Wheeler appears to be an old friend of David Gerard's, who was brought into Wikipedia by Gerard in 2004. Lesbian feminist. Primary account AlisonW was adminned in May 2006, by Danny Wool, apparently with no discussion and no RFA. Her edit record (what little has survived, anyway) under that account shows a deletionist patroller.
Alison was one of the co-founders of Wikimedia UK, one of its first directors, and deeply involved in the collapse thereof in 2008. More info at David Gerard, FT2, WMUK.
Sock
Known sock was wikipedia:user:Vampwillow. Alison is one of the very few people known to have two valid administrator accounts at once. Note that Vampwillow's RFA was in May 2004, well before the contribs for AlisonW start. Vampwillow started editing in March 2004, ceased editing in 2006, requested desysop and then "disappeared" in March 2008. She had all history of her userpages erased at that time. Alison's history of editing Wikipedia is almost impossible to follow, thanks to the oversight deletion of thousands of diffs, possibly by David Gerard.
In 2005 she voted against the deletion of the Alison Wheeler article, a blatant autobiography, created for her by James Forrester and edited by herself. Note the support from other insiders. "Strong keep, parliamentary candidate or not. Good Wikipedians like creator Jdforrester and subsequent editors VampWillow and Bearcat do not write up "blatant vanity" articles. Samaritan 23:10, 27 Apr 2005 (UTC) " The page was deleted on a second nomination in 2008 and replaced with an article about the singer of the same name. Wheeler blamed the deletion on "trolls and homophobes". The two were openly connected in the associated AN argument in March 2008.
Wipipedia
Vampwillow was an admin at the "London fetish wiki" Wipipedia. Her Wipipedia user page links directly to her sock account of the same name on Wikipedia. Numerous longtime Wikipedia editors also have accounts on Wipipedia.

On door opening
David Gerard dgerard at gmail.com Fri Jul 18 09:38:31 UTC 2008 "[WMUK] does have one important asset: the trademark licence from WMF … In essence, WMUK is most useful at present as an idea that opens doors. Alison certainly finds that "Chair, Wikimedia UK" gets her in a lot more places than "Alison Wheeler, random volunteer editor."
Alison Wheeler wikimedia at alisonwheeler.com Mon Jul 21 19:54:34 UTC 2008 "These are, quite clearly, very bad problems to have, but they aren't preventing the effective work of the organisation. The "fancy job titles" are anything but as they actually open doors and make us "meaningful" for those seeking our input / help. "
Thu 24th July 2008, 2:52am Tarantino comments at Wikipedia Review: "Alison Wheeler's misleading Linkedin profile says that she is a CEO of a non-profit [Wikimedia UK] with 501-1000 employees and that the "initial activity [of Wikimedia UK is] to gain charitable status, alongside raising the profile of the organisation – which operates the very successful wikipedia.org online free encyclopedia and other open wiki-based reference services." One wonders if its sole purpose is to open doors for its board members."
Alison has been on WP for NINETEEN YEARS. Yet she openly admits performing only 6500 undeleted edits.
Blog. With links to her other online activities (except Twitter, apparently she had enough Muskiness and went to Mastodon).
So long as people like Wheeler are tolerated in the inner ranks, Gerard will have some power over WP. I can guarantee that this arbitration will fill up with Gerard sockpuppets trying to defend poor little Alison.
