The whole problem of the EU is the power is not equal divided, Jimmy. Germany and France are the pipers and make the tune and special Germany. And the other country's? Well, the only Europe what Germany support is a German Europe. That is the EU in a nutshell. Germany supports every form of European cooperation as long as it is in the German way. They simple don't accept other forms. And this was something France wanted per se.
We don't have a direct democracy, elections are often a choice between the same or the same or the same. It's sometimes hard to see any difference between the party's. Brussel is closed black box, ask Varoufakis. Germany has the surpluses, it is one of the biggest and richest industry country's in the world, and the most of the other European country's has to beg for every euro.
Holland is against the proposal as a state, other states will vote in favour, some Dutch MEP's will vote in favour of the proposal, others not. The party I voted for in both the national parlement as the EP for instance is against it. (Not that silly Pirate Party by the way) And that is the way things happens in Europe. It is not some exiting soccer game like you and Doc James and your friends precent it on your twitter.
Politics in Europe are always exteem boring and you know in advance how it ends up. It will happend, dot. Nobody will protest against it, because in general European people are complete uninterested in politics, and special European politics. Why? Because you know if something is approved in a misty commission or Brussels back room for sure it will become a European law, special if Germany is involved.
We Europeans know that, and that is the reason no-one of us will go on the street, except a few Pirate Party fans. It will impress nobody. And It's the same with that Brexit, it is not even mentioned in the newspapers. Why? Because nobody will read it because nobody is interested in European politics. It's just the same as it is all the time raining here, we are complete used to it, it is all business as usual in chaotic Europe.
