Wikipedia Sucks!

It's just really annoying to see Eric Snowden speaking with Jimbo Wales yesterday or the day before when one is aware of Wales' character. His early Internet nudie merchant history (Bomis Babes or whatever) is documented. He's still that guy. Eric Corbett memorably referred to him as "dishonest [epithet]," the noun not being something that should be used here. On personal experience I agree with the adjective. The idea of a Wiki-based encyclopedia wasn't any master stroke in my opinion, somebody else would've done it. Wales continues to try to co-opt it as his personal trademark.

Okay, let's see if the board displays the attached screen-cap.

I can't stand Snowden or Wales. They deserve each other. Both of them are milking publicity for stuff they can't really take credit for.

Two things:

1. Wales' laptop has a couple of greasy spots - on the touch pad and the space bar.
2. Is the 'special moment in our history' a personal luv-a-thon between these two guys or is it aiming at a wider entity, like Mankind, or some sub-species of that fauna? In other words, maybe, perhaps a few sentences filling in the background for the ill-informed (no names) might be a goodish idea.

No you won't gain world domination that way. Every thread should be introduced with a summary of issues, penned by those who are in the know, otherwise only Wikipedia addicts will visit this site - and nothing you say will ever reach them.
