It's the other way around, a simulation is living in reality.

I personally voted against 10 of the 11 elected (Cf. Dale Carnegie, How to Win Friends and Influence People), though 25% of the candidates I voted for made it (1/4). Last year I did better, with 50% of the candidates I voted for being elected (1/2), though only 0% made it to the end of their terms.

The pre-propaganda percentages (cross-posted):

Newyorkbrad: 48%
Worm That Turned: 44%
KrakatoaKatie: 44%
Casliber: 42%
Xeno: 37%
Beeblebrox: 37%
DGG: 36%
SoWhy: 33%
Thryduulf: 31%
Bradv: 30%
David Fuchs: 30%
Maxim: 29%
Barkeep49: 29%
Gadfium: 28%
Llywrch: 26%

Kudpung: 24%
The Rambling Man: 23%
Hawkeye7: 23%
Isarra: 23%
Richwales: 21%

Enterprisey: 19%
Calidum: 12%

Check the math

Weird fact: "Supreme Court" is an anagram for "Computer User"

I voted several times. 3 put of 7 were blocked as socks of the dog and rapper vandal.
I voted against all of them except Xeno and TRM and the only reason I supported TRM was because I thought it would be funny if he got elected.

Nearly all of the candidates this year do next to nothing to improve wikipedia except keep people banned and make sure that the status quo doesn't change.

It's also worth noting that although several got selected, the %'s were super low.
