A few months ago, on public transport, I have seen someone added a section to an article (can't remember which article).
A few minutes later, just out of curiosity, I searched that article on Google, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo and Qwant.
Unlike all the others, Google listed that new section as a shortcut below its search result. Minutes after the edit was made.
This clearly suggests that Google and Wikipedia/Wikimedia Foundation are somehow working together.
Google synchronises with Wikipedia near-instantly.
