Is WP:NOPUTIN going to follow after WP:NONAZIS and WP:NOCONFEDERATES?

Post by Ognistysztorm » Fri Mar 24, 2023 5:15 pm

Given the current trajectory of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, is WP:NOPUTIN or WP:NORUSSIA going to exist, following the footsteps of WP:NONAZIS and WP:NOCONFEDERATES?

I suspect that Wikipedia will try this in order to squirm its way out and appeace pitchfork-holding mobs as much as possible as the Holocaust distortion scandals get larger.

WP:NOCONFEDERATES does not exist. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:NOCONFEDERATE

Edit: it's WP:NOCONFEDERATE (without the s)

If WP:NOPUTIN happens that I think that every articles involving Russian achievements, be it space, chemistry, arts, and so on, are going to get rewritten to a degree that reflect verifiable nuances and not-handsome realities behind these "facades".

Personally though, I don't have sympathy for Russia after all of what it had done in Ukraine.

It would be utter nonsense for space science or chemistry because most of the pioneering work was done during the USSR or Imperial Russia. If Wikipedia is stupid enough to let the NAFO* ("North Atlantic Fellas Organization") types try to claim that everything Russian is Ukrainian or some other "Freedom Fries"-style nonsense, then it voids itself as an actual authority.

* These are the people with the Shiba Inu/humanoid avatars, they mostly operate on Twitter. Twitter is an ongoing trainwreck, and NAFO is one of the smaller outfits piling it on.

Still "Globally Banned" on Wikipedia for the high crime of journalism.

It certainly won't take a singular way to happen. For instance if there are so-called discrepancies and aberrations within the "pioneering work", that would become a nice dead horse to beat as if nature abhors vacuum.

However by the way, Wikipedia has soiled itself in the Holocaust distortion rows, and here's wondering how bad it will go.
