Originally created by Wikimedia France, but been expanded to work for other languages as well. A bot has been created to sync the created audio files to wiki pages. It is only been deployed on a few (mostly obscure) wikis: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Lingua_Libre_Bot, but is currently in the process of being deployed globally: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Steward ... _Libre_Bot.

Lol. It was supposedly launched back in 2016 - over seven years ago. And it's still not even launched yet. Though, compared with other WMF projects, that's relatively """fast""".

You might have noticed that the runs on MediaWiki, well some wikidiot got payed a whole lot to do that.

It also has an article, despite clearly not being notable. Not that they care. They even had the gall to add their own project to the article on language preservation without any citation whatsoever: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?ti ... 1048018914.

FWIW that "0x010C" is IMO one of the most extreme nerds on fr-WP. Deletionist patroller, loves to babble about computers, cartoons, and, yes, Doctor Who. Huge flaming asshole.
