I'm reading a book entitled "We'll Tell You What To Think - Wikipedia, Propaganda, and the Making of Liberal Consensus" by TJ Coles, published by Ursa Major. I'm currently on page 88 of 312. Has anyone here read this book? I plan to write a review of it when I'm finished.

I haven't personally, but we did have a thread about it before: https://wikipediasucks.co/forum/viewtop ... f=5&t=2484

Cool. Too bad nobody engaged with Eric's thread. So far, I recommend the book. My only criticism is that he should have asked someone to copyedit it, because it's full of misspellings, odd spacings, and other typos. But that's a side issue, the substance of the book is, so far, impressive.

I'm currently reading what Coles has to say about Phillip Cross, who is an editor I've encountered personally. He seems to have dedicated his life to painting critics of western governments in as negative a light as possible - almost as if it's his job. Has anyone else dealt with this Phillip Cross character? I'll have to search the archive to see if anyone else has discussed him.

I know The Grayzone and The Jimmy Dore Show have mentioned him and insinuated that he works for the British or American government. Coles suggests that Cross might be Oliver Kamm. The "official" story is that he's a morbidly obese autistic man who can't do anything useful, and can't even walk, so he has nothing better to do than sit on the computer all day every day - but why an unpaid civilian would dedicate their lives to smearing critics of western governments is beyond me.

So if I read it correctly, TJ Coles has done what Eric Barbour couldn't.

As in that he published it?

He SELF-published it, meaning it was almost totally ignored. I dare you to find a review in any "mainstream media".

Strelnikov did review it for his blog. Also ignored.

The Wiki playpen could certainly use some adult supervision. However, I think that most of these Wiki-children are useful idiots for the "Powers that Be", and these powers like it that way.

It is demoralizing for better-informed adults to swim against this tide.
