A WIKI MINUTE

I stumbled on to this recently: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDnyhGL ... -GDTVTHZqS

It's some sort of attempt by the WMF to whitewash the workings of their cult to outsiders, in their trademark corporate nothing-speak style, of course. No one seems to care much about it going by the views. Also, it is in all caps for some stupid reason, not my editorializing.

I think this is some sort of attempt to appeal to the tiktok crowd of teens with 5-second attentions spans. I'm surprised that they made them widescreen videos and not "shorts".

They probably DON'T KNOW HOW. And they really should put this shit on Tiktok itself.

Let's see, does Wikimedia even have a Tiktok? They have this, with a miserable 2163 followers and almost no traffic (full of extremely boring videos about trivia, all narrated by robot voices, and none of the "Wiki Minute" crap):
https://www.tiktok.com/@wikimedia.foundation

And this is empty
https://www.tiktok.com/@wikimedia

And right below them is this....some kind of ad agency? It's all in Arabic. The WMF needs to sue someone. Ha ha.

Hell if I know what this is.

Does THAT help to convince you that the WMF is an incompetent brainless beast full of petty ass-biters? This is some of the worst "promotional" work for a nonprofit I've ever seen. They have hundreds of millions of dollars to play with, and this is what they do with it.
