That GA looks like a start/C-class article.
A proper name for DYK would be "Footnotes of the day", because that's what they all are, mere footnotes.

I don't think many people visit English Wikipedias front page. And mostly because nobody manually types in "en" before wikipedia. They just get funnelled to an individual English Wikipedia article from Google or the preceding all-languages splash page.
It's also poorly styled, never actually read it myself.
